Let's see …. Pettersson and Miller have each played 10 games. Pettersson has 3G 5A and +3; Miller has 2G 4A and -4. Also consider that the Canucks are decimated by injuries and have played in every time zone over those 10 games, while the Rangers basically live in 1 time zone with minimal travel. So the difference in stats is understated in my opinion. But yes, let's wring our hands and moan because we kept the WRONG guy. I think we kept the right guy and only time will tell if he can still be a point per game, or more, player. But things are trending in the right direction.
We all know what happens when you overwork Demko . It's not worth losing him for the season , don't do it .
Nothing wrong with missing a little time for the loss of a dog
Letting someone take leave for the death of a dog shows that the organization cares, which helps to build morale. In the long run it will benefit the organization — if we must look at it that way.
Boeser loves his dogs. That’s the first thing you learn about the guy. Pets are family and it’s hard when they go. I’m glad he took the time he needed.
4:40, I noticed this when Hughes was injured last year too. When he's in the game, the whole team runs through him. When he's not, everyone steps up and plays well. (Maybe not *everyone*.) But that means if he's playing, and not playing well, like when he was playing while injured last season, and like this season, the team as a whole plays badly, because they're playing through a captain that isn't performing as well as he should be.
I was not surprised at all to see the team step up against Edmonton while Hughes was out.
they often overplay quinn /rely on him too heavily for too many games in a row, then he needs to sit out & recuperate (& nobody knows the nature of the 'injury') > they should stop doing that (*have a set cap on maximum minutes to play hughes per night
Sherwood is a 3rd and 4th liner. Pretty much the entire team except EP40 and Hughes and a few of the talents.
very proud of sherwood hard worker

Absolutely deserving of a leave of absence for the death of a dog. He’s experienced great loss in his 10 year as a Vancouver Canucks with members of his family already and after everything he’s been through with the organization after 10 years of service, I think taking a couple days off is completely deserved.
Checks out that you guys aren't dog people 🙄
