Rielly=3rd pairing d-man, no d-zone faceoff ice-time. He is untradeable, nobody takes his contract unless a #1 rounder is attached. Willie has played great but is still a floater an doesn't care about defense.
No other team in the league changes their forward group like the leafs when a 4th line center goes down. Jarnkrok 4C top 9 stay the same, how hard is that.

Said this when they handed Matthews the C. He is not captain material, and never will be. Leadership shown on the ice, whether its throwing a big hit and being physical or being visibly upset with the play of team, does go a long way with your teammates and the fans. Matthews does neither. Change the C or otherwise things will stay the same.
Now idk if anyone else thinks this but Knies has lost his physical edge an isn't finishing his check. Hope he hasn't caught the leafs virus=soft as butter.

Made me laugh as Leafs are probably most bi-polar fanbase in sports (I can’t completely blame them given everything they’ve dealt with post 1967 as they’ve seen 26 other teams make finals since, but not them and 19 win at least one🏆, but not them).
The guys who get all the ice time are the biggest problem. Mathews, Nylander, and Reilly should all wear go pro's on their helmet because they always seem to have a good view of the puck going into their net. On most teams Reilly would be a third line left winger at best.

We need to cut out on the bs. Kampf needs to be back in the lineup…This is a joke. He fixes a lot of these defensive problems…especially in Dzone situations. Now that he's not in the lineup they are allowing goals up the ying yang. Once he's back in the lineup, he will be forced to shoot
There is something about this team, an entitlement where they refuse to play a full game. It's as though they don't care, just gimmee my paycheque. I put that squarely on the shoulders of Mathews. It starts with that guy. I personally think that he's just counting the days until he can go somewhere else. Dude is sulking this year cuz little Mitchy is gone. I can't see any success here with him.
If we are handing out blame, then you haven't given enough to Berube and staff. His systems are a joke and consistently result in them getting caved in from a shots attempt perspective. You can't win four 7 game series getting caved in. Either his system doesn't fit the players on this roster or the players don't believe the system can win. In either case, the end is near for Berube
