Where are my “Trade Nemec!, he’s a BUST!” people now? I’ve been saying it, over, and over again – he WILL be one of the greatest European defenseman to ever play the game. That’s FOUR goals, in two games, for a 21 year-old D. Unbelievable! Now you know why every GM, wanted him in a trade.

To all the people protecting Luke saying he is playing on his off side. The issue is he keeps making bad turnovers. I believe he has had at least one in the last couple of games. That's why he gets critique.
Whats nice about that Jack line too is whats happening is what I thought could, we really dont need another top6 FWD with that line and Timo-Nico-Bratt…so we should trade for a legit 3C instead because Glass got injured AGAIN

Do you think Keefe dislikes Nemo? Post game he was asked about nemo and ends up talking about how Luke was exceptional. The other day he was asked about Nemo stepping up and said basically hes only getting the chance because of injuries. Seems like he doesnt want to give the kid credit!
The way Nemo carries himself is champion-level. His swagger, his grit, his smarts, his competitiveness, all makings of a Stanley Cup required player. If we fail to keep him it will be a travesty for our franchise. Whoever gets him will hoist Lord Stanley.

This was their best game this season when it comes to board battling and cycling imo. They really wanted this one.

I’ve never been so excited about the future of this team . We have Luke , Nemec , Silayev and Egorov on horizon and possibly Quinn . We do need salary cap to grow quite a bit .

If I am not mistaken in the pregame interview, Sheldon was not expecting Connor Brown or Dougie to be on this road trip, but it sounded like they might be back soon
Now that was a great win. Last years team would have lost in regulation in a blowout. And we're doing this without Pesce, Kovacevic, Brown, Dougie, Glass, and Dadonov. That's 1/5th of a team.
It’s been so fun watching Jack this season. After missing so much time last year, you almost forget how dynamic he is until you see him back out there. He’s also evolving with the team. Take that 3rd goal late in the 3rd. Jack’s all alone in the o-zone, doesn’t force it, just waits for support and it turns into a beautiful 1-2-3 play with Noesen & Nemec. If it was the last 2 seasons, Jack probably takes that puck straight to the net himself out of frustration. Now he’s trusting his team, playing as part of the unit instead of trying to do it all solo. Instagram hockey is alive & well, but this team-player version of Jack is even better. Losing him last season really seems to have brought the team together in a lasting way.
BUT HOLY SHIT NEMO! What can you say? I’m so happy I stayed up to watch that. What a night for Simon Nemec and Devils fans. I don’t get the doomers trashing guys like this who are great prospects but are young or old and not 100% all stars every damn night. Just look at what is possible. Settle down people. Can’t believe Glass & McEwan out again. Glass is holding his arm tight and clapping bad in that Keefe locker room video. Ugh. Take care of my boy!

Now you understand my point about Simon Nemec on PP1 a bit better, hopefully 😅, even though none of his goals against the Blackhawks was on the PP.
This guy can do most of what Luke can do, has a better shot, and defends better. Luke' s skating is better, and if he's better in stick handling, it' s not by much. Imo Simon's hockey IQ is better (especially when the 2 bros are on the ice), but both have room for improvement there, as well.
I won't compare with Dougie, since a lot depends on Dougie's form (best Dougie is best than both players, but their are both in development, while I haven' t seen best Dougie for a long time).
Of course yesterday was a very lucky day for Simon, his first goal is a bit lucky, maybe a bit the 2nd one, too, but he was there to provoke luck.
My favorite Nico seems to have a confidence hole offensively, right now.

Marky and Palat are once again tied in points! The double injuries RIGHT after coming back is the most brutal thing ever that has to be so mentally crushing, saw Glass in the Keefe win speech video.
Despite the Devils victory, one of the forwards, Dillon, has been fined for slamming Tyler Bertuzzi into the boards. Also, Zach MacEwan is gonna miss the remainder of the road trip as he's been added to the injured reserve. As for Dougie, is he still injured?
The other game that Markstrom got a point in was against Los Angeles. He assisted on Mercer's empty net goal.
Also, Nemec became the youngest defenseman in NHL history to score a hat trick & score an OT goal in the same game.
Holy crap what a game! Congrats Nemo on the hatrick! and that play by Jack to set up that goal…How he took it in, and drew the attention of the defenders, then waited for reinforcements…it reminded me of this one time when I was playing paintball down in Florida…at the time, I had been playing for years, so I was pretty good. Anyway, I played pick up 3v3 games with some strangers. They were all relatively new. We played 3 rounds. 1st round, I took out all 3 opponents myself. Round 2, the other team knew to concentrate their fire on me, so they won that round…and in the final round, I told my teammates "They're gonna focus on me. I'll keep them busy. When they show their heads, nail them." Sure enough, round started, I was taking heavy fire, but I kept my head down, moving just enough to draw their fire. And my teammates took advantage, and took out all of our opponents.

After sleeping on it, I think Simon Nemec’s performance last night combined with his clutch play as of late deserves apologies for past slander to be deposited into the comments. I’ll be one of the first to say I am sorry if I ever said anything bad about him.
