There were some parts of the game were the referees are missing the calls, such as that hit to the head on Hronek, just disgusting. Should've been a five minute major. All that aside, Canucks battled, and gotta give lots of credit to Lankinen tonight, he put up a hell of a fight. That acrobatic save was absolutely awesome.
So Canucks dominate the puck to start the OT, and its EP40 that completely chokes the puck up to loose possesion, looses ALL the defensive faceoffs he took, than gets absolutely blown by on the winning goal right after loosing a draw.. but hey! at least he scored a fluky lucky SH goal! sorry but he aint worth close to 11.6, not 9 , not 7, not even 5. I can not stand this team as long as this compete draining waste of a player is on it.
Man this AHL squad has been playing with so much heart.. Wish they got the win but cant complain about the effort!

Canucks got dominated and if it wasn't for Lankinen they wouldn't have gotten a point. With that being said though one of the worst officiated games I've seen in a while. Canes players were just allowed to trip, hook, crosscheck, and elbow the Canucks players all game long. Also that Myers and Marcus Pettersson pairing needs to never happen ever again.

Wow, they scored on a faceoff play that Ehlers won even though he was late on the draw [faceoff], and at that moment I had a feeling that CAR would win the SC finals, because they've been growing their own drafted players for a while now. Is this a sign that CAR will be the 2026 SC champs?

This might be another sign though to tell us that I was wrong on the 1st impression. Walker made a mistake, so either they win the SC in 2026 or they will be 'walkers' [passengers]. It's the same VAN Canuck who made the mistake on the faceoff earlier who now repaired his mistake with a goal. So all in or not for CAR?🤣

17 shots on goal is a joke. Same problem as last year, which the Canucks have failed to fix.
When Demko first started with this club, he was always out of position. He came so far out of the net, was WAY off to the side, it seemed like he never knew where to be. That changed, and he's gotten to be a great goaltender. Lankinen is doing the exact same stuff Demko used to. This boy is ALWAYS out of position, he comes way too far out and throws himself side to side with reckless abandon, sliding outside the net every time. Here's hoping the coaching staff can get him up to snuff, and quickly, with Demko always being hurt; we need a better goaltender or we're out before it begins.
