Compared to many of the "expansion" teams in NHL history, the Kraken are having a pretty decent 1st year. They don't have to motivate and educate the public to come see the games, the fans are Kraken Krazed and LOUD, and their contracts for the most part are cost effective and flexible. Give them a few successful drafts, and they'll be vying for playoffs in the weaker West.
