Go back to the old defense system. Letting guys sit in front of the net is basic knowledge not to do lmao. Thats how you lose games. Heck put nurse by there and have him be a pest to every guy that steps foot in our crease. Plenty of nhl teams have that kind of player. We are soft and its hurting our play.

Have a feeling Drai will be wearing the C on his jersey in the next couple years. Mcdavid will venture elsewhere. Oilers will become a grittier more physical forechecking team when this happens.
You can tell Drai is upset. He's always been frank with the media but I feel now he's holding back a lot of frustration. That's what they need though, more passion, grit, urgency.

The biggest difference between McDavid and Drai is they use the word "I" a lot when describing being better. That is literally the definition of taking accountability. If you have ever listened to Darnell speak he always uses the collective "we". That is what makes him not a good member of the leadership group. This was on full display yet again listening to the difference of McDrai versus Nurse in the post game interviews
