Please keep everyone but Joseph and mallioux
Great job, gentlemen, and I hope you both have a great Thanksgiving. And happy Thanksgiving to all
This team has ZERO heart right now. Softest team in the league. Walker isn’t even hitting like he used to.
Gobble gobble
I don’t want “Binner #50” to be traded! We will be screwed in net
i do like this channel alot and i love the st louis blues. BUT, and that is a big but which is why i capitalized it, this refresh on the fly has in fact NOT worked. justin faulk did work for a while, but hasnt worked effectively in a while, likewise with torey krug and this whole team minus a few players are literally mostly phoning it in, has no heart whatsoever and literally gives up as soon as they hit any adversity. while theoretically it is still POSSIBLE the blues could in fact make the playoffs, its likely extremely doubtful as this particular build of the team does not in fact alex steen, alex pietrangelo, ryan o'reilly and vladimir tarasenko to lean on. luckily for us torey krug is on LTIR this year same as last year and will also be on LTIR for all of next season too which will in fact be FINALLY his last season as his contract expires at the end of the 2026-2027 season. now i will admit to being wrong on the demand to fire armstrong back in 2018 after we missed the post season altogether and army did a helluva job bringing in ryan o'reilly, tyler bozak and pat maroon and bringing back david perron as everyone already knows that story(spoiler stanley cup after going from dead last in the nhl on january 1st of 2019). however now, army has tried to do this retool on the fly for in fact several seasons now and is now wasting the prime of robert thomas' career too. i absolutely LOVE jordan binnington and will be sad if he leaves but at this point i wouldnt even blame jordan binnington if he wants out of st louis at all. since winning it all weve had three first round exits, one second round exit and two seasons straight of just missing the post season altogether. we have also fired TWO head coaches in back to back years no less and the first one of whom was our head coach when we won the whole damn enchilada in 2019. in fact doug armstrong has fired 5 nhl head coaches in the 15 plus years hes been gm of the st louis blues and while i in fact admit i was wrong in 2018 summer to call for army to be fired at the time, this time though im gonna go ahead and say it, this team doesnt have the cojones to turn this season around. and doug armstrong has in fact been the full on architect of this iteration of st louis blues hockey and this team is a joke. so this team is in fact completely on army and its time for army to fall on his sword. i dont even want to wait until this coming summer for alex steen to become the gm, tom stillman needs to meet with armstrong and demand he step aside as GM NOW and let alex steen take over full time immediately and let doug just be president of hockey operations so steen can take over and start talking to players and try to ask for them to waive their ntcs so we can get change now. this season is in fact a wash and we all know it now anyway. we might as well just tank out and try to get the first overall pick and start a full on rebuild because im tired of watching this team choke as it is. we are 30th overall and we know its not montgomery's fault at all. my short list of untouchable players: thomas, holloway, broberg and binner if he even wishes to stay at this point. anyone else at this point and that includes colton parayko can burn. if we are going to tank to go for the 1st overall pick we might as well blow it all up anyway and get as many picks and prospects as we can asap. this upcoming draft looks very deep and even if we dont get the 1st pick there will be still plenty of talent to be had in the top 10 of the draft anyway so even ending up in the top 10 of the draft will get us a generational player. just rip the bandaid off and be done. look at the standings, all of the eastern conference teams are ahead of us and only two teams are further down then us, we are bottom feeders. time to accept it.
if montreal is looking to trade monty, first and a top prospect look at maybe trading binner..
It's sad that Faulk is on the board. He's one of the few that seems to be playing better than the mean for the team. I expect after Faulk will be Fowler and Parayko. I feel for Monty, but at the same time, as a friend of mine says, they pay coaches to coach and to figure out the room. Something, maybe someone, is wrong in the room. They need to start being honest about who and that person needs to start riding pine.
Unfortunately Mailloux was the guy bleeding all over the place and not available for the double minor he earned that the team couldn't capitalize on AGAIN. But I do think he should be on the PP unit
Start with trading Binner and Kyrou first. Watch the culture get instantly better
I think you have to trade schenn. He might be a great leader but I dont think that matters that much when you are losing. Plus schenn does not look good. Slow and ineffective.
It feels like we’ve had the “turn the keys over” convo before with Thomas, Kyrou, and Parayko who all now have premium contracts. Probably makes it difficult for younger players to truly step up and take the leadership roles when everyone is expecting that from our core players with the big contracts. I just don’t see any of those guys taking on leadership to lead them to the playoffs.
I think the blues need to shift their leadership to the defensive side with their play style. Dumping the puck, being heavy down low, defensive players with rocket launcher slap shots, and getting dirty in front of the net, has been the blues style and we need to get back to it. I’d be all in on Rasmus Anderson
Start testing the market on everyone over 30. Keep Binnington, don't resign. None of these trades will benefit this season.
Happy Thanksgiving.
Earlier in the season I got down on Faulk but he's been our best most consistent defensemen.
The last several games Parayko has been horendous.
I only watched the last ten minutes of the game last night including the overtime and after that lackluster performance and ZERO defense in OT I was PISSED!!! How embarrassing.
