  1. I think the Bruins have been playing well despite the injuries. I liked what Sturm said in his pre-game interview on Nov. 29. He basically said he doesn’t care who’s in or out of the lineup, they just need more effort. That mindset keeps the guys filling in from feeling like they’re at a disadvantage and helps them rally together as a real unit instead of just a handicapped version of the usual lineup.

  2. Sherwood is 30 years old and has only played 5 seasons in the show but never a full season. 98 pts in 265 games. I'm not giving up any prospects or picks. Sorry.

  3. If Sweeney trades either 1st rounder this year or next year; he should immediately be fired. You made a good trade by getting the 1st from Toronto. Don't screw it up by trading it for a 3rd line forward. Besides, you signed like 5 players for that exact role in the offseason.

  4. Hold. Every. Future. Asset.

I know ownership is allergic to the idea of not getting playoff revenue, but a 1st round exit is not worth losing literally ANY prospects or picks as things currently stand.

  5. My Opinion, they should bring up both Potria and Lysell and give them a 3 or 4 game run see how it looks. and if they don't go well then yes its time to ship them out. it happens where players just don't work out with that team. I would hate for them to walk and get nothing for them. But I agree the picks should be off the table.

  6. Both are good players but I agree that Vancouver would want a big return (especially for Garland). Prefer to keep Zacha.

  7. The Bruins are not as good as their record suggests. It would be a mistake to be desperate buyers and overpay for anything this season. I think it would also be a mistake to sell any assets until there are desperate buyers willing to overpay later in the season

  8. Sending picks and prospects out because you started out the season on a roller coaster. Probably a bad idea. Plus we are in a retool, way to soon to make moves.

  9. Even if we grabbed these two we ain't winnin' a cup.
Relax, keep our assets and let Sturm do what he is doing.
    Go Bruins.

  10. this bruins team embodies the quote from the movie Miracle…."not the best players, the right players".

  11. I don’t see the point in trading for either of those particular players right now. I think the Bruins should still be trying to acquire assets, not give them away to squeak into the playoffs. They might sneak in as is.

  12. I’ll go to my grave saying that if the Bruins don’t relax to get good draft positioning this year, they’re really hurting their future.

  13. Does not make sense that those prices.
Some playoff team WILL pay that at the deadline, though.

Don't see Boston in any of this unless Van wants Lysell back in the city and are willing to do a non-first package.
But I think they can get more by just waiting for the TDL.

  14. Agree. Sherwood would be way too expensive. Any deal that would require Zacha or Minten is a no-go. Also, NO TRADING 1ST ROUND PICKS.

  15. We are still in a position of strength in that we are playing well and showcasing some talent we can move to cup contending teams near the deadline. Sure, we could make the playoffs but we are not a cup contender and adding the guys you mention here will not make us a cup contender either. Stay the course, build our future while playing decent, potential playoff hockey. Near the trade deadline, trade some of these assets to cup contenders for high prices. We can retool without selling out our future in this way. No plan should just involve making the playoffs and praying for a miracle. We want to be a legitimate contender and trading picks for midline players is no way to go. If Zacha, for instance, continues on the pace he is going at, what might we be able to get for him? Or an Arvidsson etc etc. Peake could draw great interest. GM's must be salivating at the chance to get a Kastelic near the deadline. Stay the course.

  16. Poitras makes the team 2 years in a row out of camp. Coach won't play him and give him a chance to grow. Gets sent down last year. Accepts it and lights it up at a point a game. This year, a weaker lineup, plays well in camp but gets sent down again. I do like Minten and he is getting a chance to play and grow. Seeing them both, I thought Poitras was the better skater, better edge work, and pin point passing. I would have kept Poitras over Minten, or both. Poitras probably feels crapped on by the Bruins. He's thinking, hey if you don't want me send me somewhere that does. Speculation on my part of course but the way the Bruins have mishadled young players in the past, it fits.

  17. The juice isn’t worth the squeeze! Theses guys are 30, Garland going to be 30 in March, to give up young guys and draft picks. Nahhh let the season ride and look forward to next year

  18. Keep the first rounders and prospects. Let some of the Providence guys fill spots. Hard to do a "retool" when if picks and prospects are traded. The Bruins weren't expected to do anything. They are playing over their heads right now. Lots of things can happen in the playoffs. But rather get there with the players we have now

  19. Leave Sherwood where he is don’t need him and don’t want him . Keep draft picks and re-tool through the draft , and trades with some other team and bruins needs. Players out players in .

  20. Only way I'm trading any prospects is for Alex Tuch or Jordan Kyrou. Minten, Hagens, Letourneau hands off, anyone else is fair game.

  21. absolutely not for the price it will cost. Keep the roster as is, adding is a crazy idea. Contend again soon

  22. Don’t we have enough of other teams rejects we got overrated overpaid Zacha and Lindholm? These two guys you’re talking about are nobodys. They are stuck with people who they overpaid for who nobody wants. These channels are clown channels.
