Agree with not resigning panarin, and if you can pick up a first rounder and matbe a ready player. Love adding kyrou at some point. Plus can we package something for a Tuch and Byram? Not sure buffalo would do that.
Buffalo is in the cellar, again….looks to miss the playoffs, again. They should be sellers.
Schneider is one of the few players delivering freight train, Kronwall style hits on an otherwise far too soft team… so OF COURSE the guy will be traded!
Connor's two years, team friendly extension with the Oilers, during the off-season was his way of saying. "I'm giving you two years to build a proper team around me. If you don't, I'm walking."

Whether the Rangers make a trade at the deadline depends where they are in the standings. Would love to get another first rounder in a loaded draft even if it is mid to late. I think Rangers can get a 1st rounder for Panarin+ to a team that is looking to strengthen for the playoffs. I wanted to trade for Kyrou eons ago, but that ship may have sailed. I have a feeling that Drury is going to re-sign Panarin & that they'll meet somewhere in the middle.
Sounds like more of Drury trading 1 good player for two 3rd line players that will end up in Hartford, and ultimately on waivers. But they'll be "tough gritty" 3rd liners.
The Metropolitan Division is vey tight, Rangers are currently in seventh position 6PTS. In back of first place Hurricanes. No team is running away with their division. The Rangers had the opportunity to move into fourth place but they gave the games away. Do they still have a chance to make the playoffs? Sure. Let’s see how it turns out in the months of December and January.
I like Schneider, I feel Panarin will stay and Laffy will go.
