My problem with the first goal, is whether the puck was loose or whatever, an islander player pushed Blackwoods right pad, which initially caused him to fall over, and then the 2nd players stick gets in his pad preventing him from getting up and recovering. I think the inital pad push is absolutely a guy knowingly pushing him to make him lose balance, and then he can't recover because of the guy wrenching the stick out of his pads. Seems pretty clear cut to me but nobody really knows what goalie interference is I guess.

Necas bad, Makar not impactful, Mac sleepy and sloppy. Toews, as always, on O was pathetic. Burns, some dumb puck handling in front of the net, Manson was bad, Girard also average, etc. Even the 4th line guys who usually great, made no difference. Landy, Nelson, Val were sort of ok. Malinksi decent.
PP is a concern. Perhaps not today, but I guarantee u, they will be beat by the Stars due to these struggles. Because Dallas will capitalize on theirs and I am pretty sure Avs will end up in the box a lot. And we all know it is inevitable those two teams meet in the playoffs.
One more observation. Not sure people noticed but last year and two years ago, Mac would have that one timer go in, it feels like, every other if not every PP from the dot. Now, he cant even get that shot off. Not sure what that is. Is that the opposing teams scouted and have a defense against that pass? But that play never almost happens any more.

One thing I think you guys are really glossing over as a concern is that since the beginning of November, the Avs have only played well in 1 road game. You talk about this team overwhelming opponents and the result being inevitable but that’s only true at home. The difference between the home version and road version is a chasm right now.

Avs lose one game and the entire league blows it out of proportion. It is amazing how many people I've seen overreacting and making fun of the Avs 😂. The Avs have always struggled on the road in the Metro, I fully expected them to lose to either the Flyers or the Islanders. Blackwood was due for a bad game, refs still don't know what goalie interference is, there's been sickness in the locker room, and the most important thing is the Avs have drawn a target on their back the size of Stars fans egos, every team is going to give 110% against them. People hate seeing successful teams and pray for their downfall, difference is the Avs will forget about this game in 2 days.
