Ok so a little panic
PANIC!!!! I do like Pillsy's theory about putting Halliday on the 2nd line. If he can play on the PP2, he should be able to be trusted for shifts on line 2. Cozens makes that 3rd line look solid again. I just haven't liked Greigs game. It's not consistent at all. The whole team has taken their foot off the gas since Brady came back. And I feel like Jenson is going to be the new Hamonic as he continues to play in every single game for some reason

I don't think it's Brady's fault per se, but perhaps it is other players changing their game because he is back. Or the fact Timmy is playing FAR too many minutes. Something needs to change.
This team isn't the Edmonton oilers with mcdavid and draisaitl. When they lose three straight at home against teams that aren't that good, it is cause for serious concern.
Stu and Sandy need less time on the ice for sure.
I’m not in panic mode as there is lots of time yet in the season. Only 2 out of last place, but also only 4 out of first. Relax.
Pillzy, so using your logic, both Pinto and Chabot are more important to this teams success than Brady. Brady out, we win games. Brady comes back, doesn't move the needle at all. Pinto and Chabot out, team suffers big time. So my question to fans is – why is it that Canadian teams just misjudge our own talent based on loyalty all the time? Vegas or Florida would be trading Brady right now, for a HUGE return, before his value goes down when he doesn't score 25 goals this year. I just don't get it, Canadian teams are not building winners. Look at the leafs they pulled the same crap – they let Marner walk for nothing. We do need to be more active the core of this roster is still too similar, too comfortable and clearly not competitive enough. I would not mortgage ant future assets, I would trade Brady for massive return and watch this team start winning. It's not that Brady makes us worse, it's just that he doesn't make us better. Don't get how people can't see that it's plain as day to me. That way we get high end players and a pick back and keep the most important pieces on this roster. You could also work Grieg into another tidy deal for an upgrade on D. Look at how Vegas and Florida manage assets. Even the rangers, did they not trade their captain? Look whose better than the sens right now….Boston letting Marchand walk ? There are several examples of this. Brady as a person is extremely fun and he's a huge personality – but what does this hockey team need to compete? More elite talent and depth on D. Those are things you can get for Brady and this team effectively doesn't lose anything. Brady is a good player but he's not the right player for this mix. That's just my opinion as a fan but to say it's 'crazy' is so typical of Canadian team coverage. Let's learn how to win. Outcomes over emotion.
Thank you Pillzy for the voice of reason. I couldn't agree more. This team is significantly better than its current record indicates. Naturally, adjustments need to be made to elicit the team's potential, but neurotic demands for dismantling the team are not conducive to building a winning team when many of the pieces are there. I'd love to see Halladay elevated in the line up. He's had a couple mistakes here and there but the rest has really impressed me, high hockey IQ… The 5 min of ice time last game is unacceptable
I like Pillzy’s d pairings, except I would scratch Jensen and have a third pairing of Gilbert and Palo.
Or maybe even put Palo with Klev and Zub with Gilbert.
"The Sens are right there" Right there at the bottom of the standings. Pillzy revealed his real emotional state when he said he would like the team to go out west because then they would be one point out of a wild card. How sad is that? Things are so crap that it would be great if they were still crap, but less so. I want my team to be in the top 3. Anything less is garbage. Trying to force some artificial optimism just reveals how dire the situation is.

I'm not panicking yet. If we are this far out of the playoffs at the midway point of the season, then yes I am very concerned. We have a favourable schedule ahead, but we said that about his home stand and look where that got us. We have to step up on this road trip big time
I’ve been panicking for many years. Our team simply isn’t very good. Our “stars” are ineffective a lot of the time. Our support cast are poor. Our coaching is poor. Our offensive prospect pipeline is none existent. And if we end up giving up the first overall pick I’m going to cry. We are capable of going on a run and MAYBE being in the wildcard hunt. But this team is so far away from a cup it’s laughable. And surely that’s the goal over the next few years right?
We keep saying this team are capable of so much more but are they? Really?

Try Halliday on Timmy’s wing. He looks good and I get it the inexperience and asking him to log those minutes is a little crazy but worth a try. He looks like a playmaker that could make things happen 5v5. Poor Cuzzy isn’t doing it for me. Other than that Timmy needs to be a shooter, and Brady needs to be a net front giant again.

I think we are beyond panic….we are in Sens fans dont care anymore mode. The team just isnt good enough, plain and simple and to make matters worse we are not going to get a potential top 3 pick after we hit rock bottom after olympics. They only made the playoffs last year cause other teams stunk
4 Regulation Wins against playoff teams from last season, and one of those is the Habs.
That stat is so loud, it highlights how mid this team is…
