1. I thought it was pickard going????? I don’t like that trade, we needed someone to push skinner damit

  2. Unless Oilers win the cup this is a brutal trade. Should've kept Slinner and made it work to push Skinner to be better !

  3. A lateral move, at BEST. 🤦‍♂️
Jarry is welcome to prove me wrong, but right now, I'd rather have kept Skinner.

  4. As a former goalie it would be incredible if a single media person on any type of platform would bring up all the negative stipulations that have come in to effect for goalies in the 3ish decades. Reducing equipment size, crease and trapezoid. This has been all in the name of increasing goals in the NHL for excitement. Yet every single media source will harken back to save percentages from the late 90’s to 2000’s. People wanted more goals and got more goals. With that expectations on goalies stats should equally adjusted

  5. Let’s look at the numbers, seriously. 2024–25:

    Skinner — 51 GP, 26–18–4, 2.81 GAA, .896 SV%, 3 shutouts.

    Jarry — 36 GP, 16–12–6, 3.12 GAA, .892 SV%, 2 shutouts.

So you give up the younger goalie with better stats, more starts, and proven workload… for an older one with worse numbers and fewer games played.

What problem exactly did this trade solve?

  6. As an outsider to both teams looking in, I think this was a good pickup for Edmonton, but the Oilers biggest problem is a leaky defense.

  7. Ask any pens fan that knows hockey
Jarry is horrible and disappears in any meaningful game
Gave up 5 goals last night and it wasn’t even a important game
    Oilers got fleeced!

  8. It’s defence not so much goaltending we have shitty defence you could put fucking anybody in there. They’re not gonna make it difference and this goaltender ain’t gonna make a difference. It’s not even a fucking playoff goalie.

  9. So Jarry plays defence? Since when???? The oilers defence is and always has been their Achilles heel!!! The forwards won’t back check, the defence think they’re forwards, and the goalies get blamed for everything….
