  1. If we play defense like we did last night it don't matter who is in net. It isn't always the goalies fault.

  2. Great work by Dubas. Got rid of that contract. More space next year. A pick when McDavid is gone.

  3. Stu might very well be out of the NHL by this time next season. On the other hand. He has potential to put good games together. Very clunky and if he loses his angles can get exposed laterally. Puck handling skills are below avg but he is a good teammate and great human being. Kulak is a solid bottom pairing guy that can elevate into top 4. Plays the best hockey in playoffs.

  4. Karlsson has been responsible for more bad goals than either goalies yet they trade the guy who’s kept them in games for a guy who’s struggling and to pair with another guy who’s struggling? Kulak is definitely a help on the left but he can’t make up for Karlsson abandoning his post night after night. And a side note, take him off the first unit PP already! it’s clear that Letang has much better chemistry with Sid and Geno.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Sid does request a trade. Dubus I know is planning to have the two kids up from WBS in goal next year but your job is to win now. Skinner works only if he reverts to 2023 form and that’s a big ask. And stop with the “ great pick” nonsense. Who knows what the pool with look like in ‘29 or if Dubas will even be the GM. It doesn’t even classify as a lottery ticket. They gave up Fleury in his prime and they did the same here. I hope Jarry makes it to the cup.

  5. The right move 😂😂😂😂😂😂 who r u trying to kid. Get rid of Bowman would be the right move.

  6. Im always bummed to see a Pens draft pick leave but I understand it and Jarry lives in Edmonton so great for him and the opportunity. I'll be rooting for the Oilers

  7. Oilers/Pens fan here. I'm happy for the Oilers, I like Jarry. I'm sad for the Pens, same reason.

  8. Notes from Edmonton here: You guys will love both Skinner and Kulak in the playoffs and down the stretch. They elevate big time. Both excellent humans who serve the community. Both have their ups and downs in the regular season but you got two solid guys who will add a lot of character to your team. Also Skinner has the best mustache in the NHL.

  9. As a Pred-I get the sense Dubas is learning and earning his stripes here. Skinner aint elite but he has taken too much heat in a very unforgiving Canadian market. Pens risk virtually nothing, get Kulak on top of it and Skinner is off the books in the summer. As of this very moment, I like the trade from Pens perspective

  10. No one really cares who the Oilers get especially Gary Bettman because every April it is "Passover" for all Canadian Teams especially if they make the finals. Bettman 31 – Canada ZERO.

  11. It could be a win for both teams. The Oilers just couldn't get Skinner to play consistently. Sometime being traded to another team results in a hard reset for that player, often in a very positive way. Skinner was in his final year before becoming a UFA, and considering he has almost the worst numbers in the NHL, this is a very reasonable move by the Oilers. And the Pens did well. Skinner is still young and may be a bit of a late bloomer. So there is a very good chance he steadies and becomes consistently better.

  12. Skinner is also coming to a team that is top 12 in team defence, from a team that was 27th. The pressure in Edmonton is overwhelming for any player, let alone a home town kid. Skinner will surprise in Pittsburgh.
