No. He's too old for the assets you'd have to give up. If you're going to give those assets up, then go get Quinn's brothers from New Jersey. Get all three signed extensions, and since they're playing together (which is what they want), maybe they'd be willing to take lesser deals.

Yes to Crosby! McDavid, MacKinnon, Eichel and Johnston/Hintz do not want to face Crosby in the playoffs. And I will take one Cup and another 25 yrs of mediocre teams then youth and no cup.
Malkin would be much cheaper to acquire as he is in the last year of his contract. His contract also seems very manageable, leaving the door open for another signing as well ( not sure exactly how it works- he has 1 mil in salary and 3.8 mil as a bonus, and 6.1 mil as a cap hit). Fleury and Guerin could convince him to resign for a team friendly deal to make a cup run.
