    Geekie Stadium Series would be my guess for the #fanatics #giveaway (don’t except you to ship it to the UK but still fun to speculate)

    Don’t we all wish to have a crystal ball to tell us how certain decisions pan out. In no way should Korpi be a part of the team’s future, so I really hope that DiPietro doesn’t get fumbled as badly. Always enjoy your takes, keep up the good work!

    #fanatics #giveaway kastelic. In regards to Korpisalo, the first thing that annoyed me was I wanted Ottawa to retain another million on his deal. 
    The team last year was horrid, and I am not grading on that. I think Korpisalo has played FAR better this year than his numbers would indicate. If someone is just looking at the boxscore they would think he is putrid. Sorry, he hasn't been. (Imo the Oilers were moronic for not getting him last year at the deadline)They didn't need someone to steal games, they needed someone to not lose games. If I remember correctly Bussi did not look so hot when he got some time with the big club. If they weren't as bad as they were last year I think the chances of him sticking would have been better. 
    Having Swayman coming off a bad year and having another young question mark probably didn't make too many who sit upstairs too comfortable. If Bussi stood on his head when he got some time it might have been different, and that small sample size isn't exactly fair on the young player either. They were in a tough spot and went with the more proven guy, as much as some think Korpi isn't any good. It sucks Bussi is in Carolina of all places just because those morons kept rolling out Freddie thinking they were going to get a different outcome, one that was never going to happen. I am not losing my mind over this one. If they had tried to move Swayman off of last year I would have lost my ****.
    Kastelic was the second best player on the team last year and it looks like that draft pick doesn't suck like way too many quickly judged off of his Freshman year. All in all, I can live with what happened.

    Carolina is carrying 26 players including 3 goalies. Bruins 27 players with 2 goalies. I know this is hindsight but I see it as mismanagement. Busse is 11-1-0 2.08 and .911 with Caroline 3rd place in league with 44 points. But Kastelic takes some pain away. (plus both goalies have been left high and dry by defense too often)

    I don’t mind Bussi is getting his opportunity to play in the NHL. I knew he had great potential. It was unavoidable to loose him after the Korpisalo trade but there are teams that should be kicking themselves that didn’t acquire him mainly Edmonton would have greatly benefited from him. Buffalo never makes good goalie choices so I think it’s best he never landed there anyways. I’m glad he’s not on Florida. There are several teams that should have taken a chance on him but Carolina was the smart team.

    As a Canes fan, it feels like a weird case of karmic quid pro quo. We signed Morgan Geekie, developed him in the AHL, and then had to leave him unprotected in expansion draft, not because anyone in Carolina didn't think he'd be successful but because right or wrong (and in hindsight, very much wrong) the thought was that our best option moving forward was to protect the players we did. Seattle took him, passed on him when they couldn't really develop him further, and you guys wisely picked him up.

    We couldn't keep him any more than Boston could realistically have kept Bussi but he's still popular down here and I and most fellow Canes fans I know have enjoyed watching him grow and find success with you guys. I mean, maybe not when he's having a career best day against us but the REST of the time.

    In NC, Geekie would have been a great 2C. KK was a bad move, Bussi looks great, get nice contract because Andersson is Finished after this season.

    I think that in the Ullmark trade the Senators probably insisted that the Bruins take Korpi and his contract. Unfortunately this, as you pointed out, led to the circumstances crowding out Bussi. One of those situations that led to an unfortunate outcome. Good luck to Brandon in Carolina. He deserves it.

    I'm calling it; cane's are going to be stupid and not keep him. i feel like this whole month has just been a big advertisement for other teams to make offers. i don't trust them, lol. they should stick with him and kooch. 2 young-ish goalies that can stick with the team for a good amount of years to come.

    Carolina is in a win now mode too…
    Just goalie injuries and performance dictated their moves. Bussi has simply stepped up

    Boston has Always had a problem keeping Goaltender talent. I'M 67 the list is to long to name off. But the management here has never got it right paying up for Sway was not smart or will it ever payout in the end.? Sadly the problem is that they didn't TRY to keep him in Boston and there always a forward focused organization!

    B's have been flush with great goalies throughout the system. This isn't a problem position for us.

    Brandon is a great kid. He only played 4 games up here in Maine for the Mariners (yes Bruins fans, you have a ECHL affiliate up here in Portland) but we loved him. The Bruins organization is just so stacked with goalie talent from the NHL down to the ECHL. Cavallin just got called up to Providence and he's going to do amazing up there. He was ECHL MVP last year playing for Trois-Riviere and is just a stellar talent.
