Cheer up Dangs, there's a new beginning on the horizon.
the effort was better by some, but dear god Rielly can't play another second without serious intervention on how horrific his defensive game is. Every game he's a pylon. This wasn't a pro defensive game by him. He simply has been embarrassing himself routniely defensively. Offensively he's never worked on any particular skill set as he will either hit the team crest or miss the net by 3-4 feet. He has no skill offensively and doesn't know how to defend in any way. This was a sharmeful and embarrassing night for him – nad it's routine that he doesn't know how to take the man. He simply isn't intelligent to comprehend it. Always losing that battle. Always being deked out of his pnats. He always talks about how the team needs to dowkr on the details, but in fact he, himself, hsa zero undertsanding of what those details are depsite the idea that he, himself, isn't out here to anything remotely close to trying or growin. He, on his own, lost this game because of his suly "give up" attitude. Embarrassubg effort. Forwards played ok. Randy PIeper

We can't. This isn't a movie. It's a soap opera called the Toronto Maple Leafs. It's been on the air since 1967. [Oh god, the Leafs are to blame for the 6-7 meme.] There is no cornfield! Hell, even his baseball team lost. He just has to deal with it. For 48 more games. It gets better then? No, it just enters it's next stage. What's that called? The playoffs. They're going to make the playoffs? No, but it's possible the script will be rewritten if ratings take too much of a dive. Oh!

Hey Steve, Ive been watching this miserable pile of dung since I was 5 years old, yes, I've been a pathetic fan of this so-called team. I'm 60. Im certain now I'll never see a cup in this city except in the Hockey Hall of Fame. At least you make a good living off of this crap. Shmucks like me live entire lives only to cheer in vain. How sad.

Some day (hopefully soon) Steve will become zen like THG and just accept his fate as a fan. Can't be healthy to put this much hope and expectations on a team that's shown nothing to earn those hopes and expectations.
