Unfortunately, you are correct in the sense that we do have to pretty much accept that this is the way the team is and there’s no fixing it this season so we have to hope for the worst and not mediocrity to actually get better through the draft.
But it’s December’
we have to accept that in December.
And for me that tells us that the bigger problem is in the front office and not necessarily on the ice .

Rangers have no true snipers on the roster and a ton of playmakers. They need to bring in a few players with a shoot first mindset. Everyone is looking to pass too much, which end up leading into rushes going the other way when they turn the puck over. I said it over a month ago, this current Rangers roster will not have more then a 3 game winning streak this season. Every time the Rangers have reached three wins in a row, it's followed by bad loss, after bad loss.

You can't trade for heart…character… desire and drive to win. But you can impose martial law.

Lafreniere does not have an aggressive attitude to be an every day player. More of a cub than a lion.
Agree with alot of the comments. There is no fire on the ice. Can some dropnthe gloves and start a spark. Agree with bringing up everyone, sit the floaters, lets play some aggressive passionate hockey!
I'm OK if this team does not make the POs at this point. Last year it was defense, this year it's offence. There is no superstar that changes anything because you have to trade away good assets to get that guy. I keep saying its a transition year when the goal is to play young players & develop them in the NHL. See what we have & if they don't measure up they can be traded. Drury stupidly crashed the prospect pool, so its time maybe to bottom out & get more high picks. Drury should be fired but as DVH says below it isn't going to happen.
The only way to fix the Rangers is for Dolan to sell and the new owners fire the piece of shit waste of time Drury
