Lafrenier is a dead given! He's had 4 years to evolve and produce. To me, he's been a disappointment all the way, especially considering he was a 1 round 1st pick! With his purse freed, we could get someone who is hungry and willing!

How about Panarin? He dominates only when he wants to and doesn’t want an extension. Management wants Laff as a role player not a premier player. And again, leadership is a big issue since Trouba got traded. Laff is not going to be premier because leadership wants him as a role player. Look how Perrault, Berard and Othmann are used….call out the quitters like panarin and expand ur roster.
NYR player development is abysmal. Make the deal, move Lafrenere.

I think with Carolina Hurricanes would be beneficial for both clubs. Thrown in Ottoman with the trade. Or Nylander for Lafreniere. A change scenery for both players would be great.
