Something I noticed, Pickard does a great job at making stops, but he doesn’t have the greatest rebound control, and lets a lot of rebounds back out. Early in the season, Oilers D just sat back and watched opponents gorge themselves on second chances. Tonight though, the oilers defence actually defended, with the one Jets goal being a missed rebound. The Oilers really show how good or bad a team can be when not everyone is doing their job.

I am always amazed at how different the same team can play from night to night. The canes team tonight was nothing like the canes team that played detroit the other night. against detroit they never stopped moving and cycling, they were nearly impossible to defend against. i am not saying they did not play good tonight but they were much different, much faster, against detroit.
