Lee is the captain he should be the one or Mayfield not Barzal. Team is very soft and yes, they need an enforcer like Gudas or Reeves.

Hi Gil! Well Mr. Darche, how long will this continue? Until the kid gets really hurt. I said all summer, fall, and now winter—-we will need a true enforcer. When will we get a hungry really tough feared guy? When? Last post I said when teams play us tough, we lose. Barzie? That’s a pure point well made to this Gm. It’s my only problem with him. Can you at least bring up Drew and give him a chance? AHL has tons of gunslingers, ya can’t pry one away? Really? That dude was allowed to run this kid all game until Barzie pulled a “Slap Shot” move. I don’t condone that type of violence but I do condone a good ol beating when it’s deserved. No one, no one except Barzie stood up to this guy and why? Because Mr. Olivier was there. Gil—-I just can’t take anymore of this nonsense. What’s it gonna take? The Isles lost the game cause they lost Barzy , on a back to back especially where the goalie plays both games which never happens . They had to juggle lines and needed barzy …But what he did sends a message 💪

How long is it gonna take for Darche to get his act together? Schaefer is either gonna get hurt bad because Darche will refuse to bring in a legitimate bodyguard. Or, he'll make the mistake of allowing Schaefer to play in the olympics where he will summarily get hurt just like the snake got hurt. What the hell is he waiting for? Protect the kid.
I disagree with the call for an Enforcer Type. We have guys that can fight. Lee and Mayfield will go with anyone. Gatcomb Casey and others can fight.
There are no more enforcers!! This is what the league has wanted. The Islanders had Ross Johnston and they let him go. There is no one in the league who strikes fear into opponents!! The enforcers are dead. Gary Bettman made sure of that. What Marchment did was 100% correct!! There is no Clark Gillies, Bob Nystrom, Brian Curran, Mick Vukota, Ken Baumgartner, Paul Kruse, Gino Odjick, Craig Berube, Eric Cairns, Ken Belanger, etc. If any of the above were playing today, this either wouldn’t have happened or there would have been hell to pay for the Jackets best players!!! But again the league doesn’t want that so now this stuff happens a lot. Hey just ask Brett Hull why no one touched him and he had all the space in the world on the ice when he was on the St. Louis Blues…the answer is Tony Twist.

I think Barzy did an amazing job, probably more effective than dropping the gloves. MM won’t forget that retribution any time soon😂 Obviously didn’t help the team overall, but it was worth it.
