I know most people are on Petey's case but what do you expect when he's saddled with Debrusk, (3rd line plug at best) and Boeser, (if he's not scoring he isn't bringing much else ). I'm sure they are both really nice guys but as far as creative hockey goes their tanks are empty.
Tough to watch is right. There is some talent there but we don't see enough of it. And clearly they can't cope with the pressure at home.
They are doing their best considering this is a show me team. Let's see what happens
Glad they are back on the tank program. Almost all the teams ahead of them are on winning streaks with the exception of the Jets, but they will break out of their 6-game losing streak soon. Chicago also got a loser point tonight.

This team needs a proper injection of game breaking, young talent. If they had embraced the rebuild at anytime since 2014 we wouldn't be in this position. Tough to watch for sure, but the possibility of forcing this team to rebuild is salivating
I don't know why everyone's complaining. Do we want mediocrity? The team has to bottom out before it can get better. We need multiple seasons where we get top 5 draft picks. Look at every successful team. Look at Colorado. Sure, they made great, timely trades, but 3 of their top players were top 5 draft picks. Until we accumulate some of those, we'll never get any good. Maybe there are just a lot of racists in this fanbase who would rather bash Swedish players than get better as a team.

I think that Boeser and Garland and possibly Hronek are just done with the Canucks after they traded Hughes. They just look like the spark as gone out of their eyes.

Well, here's hoping the Canucks rebound and meet the Flyers in the 2026 finals. JK, kind-of. Both teams are building into the future, hairy-scary as that may be, and I think your diss of Flyers Hockey is a bit rich. The 1990's Devils boring, they are not.
We don't have any actual bona-fide second line let alone first line forwards on this team. That's the issue in a nutshell. Just look at the shots on goal for any game. if we get 25 shots then that's an outlier for sure. But this issue hasn't been just isolated to this season. We just don't have that first and second line talent that can drive the play. Has Pavel Bure fathered a son yet?
The team has no system of play, always a mad scramble in the D zone, can never get the puck out. Every team they play against has a system or structure, is there any coaching going on? Or nobody listens to them?
