Boomer and Rhett are the only guys willing to ask and talk about the difficult questions. Listen to 960 and they would never ever question the direction of management. Management is great. Players are great. Veterans can be traded for the rainbow. Young players are the rainbow. Hard to listen to the bs after 30 years of it.

Rhett is 100% right. I mentioned this yesterday but they wonât trade anyone this year. They will be âtoo closeâ to the playoffs and just like last year they wonât trade anyone. Rasmus is going to be FA and we will have the 16th pick instead of a top 5 pick.

I absolutely hate this take. Only one team wins the cup. Everyone else is mid. Getting a top draft pick does not guarantee you success, look at Chicago, or San Jose. Having a competitive culture and having a team that is generally entertaining to watch is important. If the flames play in January like they did in December and keep the moment, they could make the playoffs, and honestly, that's all I care about. They would have made it last year except for an extremely competitive conference and barely missed it. Im tired of all these whiners complaining we need a rebuild. I dont want to suck for 4 years just to be mid again after the rebuild doesnt go well.

No one likes a rebuild, or likes to have to hit the reset button. Sometimes that is the more likely a better scenario for the future, rather than just enough to be in the mix. Look, you have a new arena being built, the team isnât going anywhere in the future.
Sell players that you know will get you a return of nice draft picks or prospects. Combine that with your draft picks, because this makes you tank. In 3 years from now, youâll say that was the best thing we did for the future.

Itâs really simple, the flames need to ship out Kadri, Andersson, Coleman and Backlund for picks. Backlund and Coleman are playing great. Their trade value has never been higher than it is right now. Tampa would love to get Coleman back. And backlund could help some team. Itâs time for a proper rebuild. Just look how great Montrealâs rebuild is. That habs team is a dynasty in the making
If they don't trade AT LEAST 3 guys then they have absolutely zero guts. Good luck in that new building with hyper-expensive tickets and a mushy middle team 35 years running. The good thing that's come from this is that I watch lots of other teams because I'm sick of this one.
