Penguins defensemen failed Šilovs on that 1st goal. Pittsburgh was lucky Malkin got them 1 point by extending the game to overtime. 🏒 🥅

Silov made a catch, even by NFL standards. That was a late whistle. Pens could take a lesson from the bolts. Make passes on the tape to players who are both moving and facing in the right direction. Anything less is unproductive.

Unfortunately once they went to a shootout with Silovs in goal you knew the Pens would lose, he just isn't good at them!!
if not for that 1st goal pens woulda had it holly…..
As good of game as you will see. Pens easily could have taken this and probably should have with how much they dominated OT. Oh well, move on, Pens. Looked great and it was a coin toss.
I can imagine making the league schedule is tough, but I wish they could make it so BOTH teams are on their 2nd game of a back-to-back when they've got to do them. Nearly every time a team has to play 2 games in 2 nights, they're going up against an opponent who is well rested. Bolts look exhausted towards the end of this game.
