Top team vs bottom team. Bottom team had a hall of fame and alumni ceremony. Seeing how poorly the Canes played, and no apparent surprise or disgust from Rod, seems it was expected. Take into account no attempt in 3rd to even the score via an empty net, using their timeout to discuss strategy, and the Canes wasting the last ~20 seconds of game time circling their own net, all seems very suspect.

This is my comment generally speaking not pertaining to this game. Two things the Blues MUST improve on. For God Sakes win a faceoff in your own zone once in a awhile. #2 learn how to pass the puck smoothly instead of almost every pass jumping off your stick. What is the deal with this team? They can't pass!! And another thing stop staying back and giving the other team so much time and space in your zone. You guys suck at blocking anything you might as well pressure the player with the puck. You couldn't do any worse. Play smarter and anticipate where the puck is going to go like the other teams do instead of always having to "skate there" and when they do they are never quick enough to beat the opposition player. This is what I've noticed consistently with this team for some time now and after watching them for over 50 years I know what I'm talking about.
