I have a bad feeling about this game. I hope I am wrong.
SarcasticMartin
Did Texier take a bad hit Saturday? I figure he’s now a permanent on the roster, not a Veleno/Blais filler, correct?
dessanct
Struble AND Dobeš in the same game. Not feeling confident but Go Habs Go!!
lRuko
What a big test for Dach, going on the first line right away against the wilds
haddonfieldsecret
Starting a (presumably) rusty Dach with 1st line minutes is certainly a choice. I hope people don’t see the rust and think Dach should never be an option.
MentalLysis
Dach played on the first line a few years ago and did well enough. Lets hope he can replicate what he did back then without getting injured, knock on wood.
CanadaRewardsFamily
Good to see that we’re easing Dach back into action by tossing him on our #1 line against the 2nd best team in the NHL.

Dobes magic 🙏
He might have let in a bunch, but haven’t lost with him for a while. So, we take those.
Let’s try not to trash him too hard if he looks rusty. It’s his first game back going against the opponent’s best.
Canadjen
Great to see Dach back in the lineup but sucks that Xhekaj sits for Struble. Foligno might get another hat trick tonight with nobody to neutralize him
FormalWare
Nick and Cole have palpably suffered from Juraj’s absence at 5-on-5. Let us hope Kirby clicks with them. He’s big and he’s skilled – and we can’t clone Slafko, unfortunately.
alija_r
I think that this is the lineup that MSL enjoys the most. Xhakaj out, Dach in, not sure of his feelings about Dobes.

Trial by fire for Dach
I’m hopeful he looks even just decent
ZukesFan14
Some people don’t remember but a while ago Dach was on the first line and he looked amazing there, I believe in him to be amazing on that first line again. Might take a bit of time but he clearly has the potential.
DelugeQc
At least, they bench Xhekaj for the lesser physical team of the week.
_id93_
I like starting him with nick and cole playing fast, he’s got the skill and size for sure.
Aggressive_Low7995
Dach, if he can stay healthy and play with just a little edge, is a much better fit on the line than Texier. I know, those are big ‘ifs’.
Plastic-Brick-1469
I put my trust in Dach for today.
1st goal of the game is his.
4CrowsFeast
I don’t think this would have happened with Texier in the line up since hes been playing great on the 1st.
Its do or die now for Dach. He basically has to make an immediate impact before Texier returns to convince Marty to keep him there. 2nd and 3rd lines are set chemistry wise, so if he does t make an impression, hes likely going down to the 4th
Scase15
Dach on the top line first game back, and Struble playing.
Yikes.
ExpertTranslator5673
What’s the over/under on Dach getting hurt tonight?
bluAstrid
3 righties on the same line is certainly a choice.
Hsbnd
Marty knows what’s up. I’m exciting to see Dach back and hoping he fits in with that line.
Moist_Jaguar691
mSL and the team is rooting for Dach. They got his back.
I think they want to see him succeed , and at least play for that next contract and show everyone what hes got.
Hopefully it’s a win win situation.
Charb9
Thats a silver plate opportunity for Dach. We all know he has the talent to be a great support on that line BUT PLEASE STAY HEALTHY KIRBY

This is a really weird decision that I don’t really agree with. Putting the perma injured player who hasn’t played in months and for only 15 games before that, and missed another half season before that and throwing him on the first line to play against other teams best players and for 15-17mins right away? Man that’s a fucking interesting decision. Good luck to Dach. Don’t go in the corners (legit what Suzuki and Caufield need lol fucking weird decision)
Justgototheeffinmoon
Texier day to day, not a nice response to is great performance over the last couple of games.
edit : I saw he was injured, so I spoke too quickly
ParamoreRiot
I’ll never like taking Arber out for Struble
MattRazor
I’m placing faith in the org. Rooting for Kirby no matter what.
DFF_Canuck
Putting him on the top line accomplishes a few things:
– Gives a quick(?) and offensive-focused option to Suzuki and Caufield
– Tests to see if Dach can be an asset to our offense
– Showcases him to potential trade partners.
It’s not lineup building 101 by any means, but I think there’s logic here.

Baffling lineup decisions by Marty
anacondatmz
Gotta say I’m surprised to see Dach on the first line. They were cautious with not over playing Ghule, lower minutes to start – sat out a game. Yet Dach who seems more injury prone than Dach is getting top line minutes his fist game back. Top line minutes against other teams top line first night back seems like a recipe for disaster.
matt236246
It could be that they are « showcasing » & Pump+Dumping him before a trade
Multiple insiders have told that the team might do that to Laine/Dach
Over_Contact_5032
Has struble been playing better than Wifi to warrant getting playing time over him?
tlxbox
He signed his contract and now he’s « injured » lol Freaking NHL insurance .
