Based on the current points per game right now, the Boston Bruins are on track to finish with 97 points.
This is the team that went 65-12 and got their asses swept 1st round 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Morgan Geekie and Fraser Minten have been lights out too
Please don't trade for anyone and stack picks. This is a good sellers market so get the most of the retool😊
Nope they don’t they still suck nutz
"Contender" 🥱
I'm gonna point out, we are probably the streakiest team in the league. Just cause we are doing well now doesn't mean we will stay this way. Petterson would be nice, hesitant on a first rounder. Definitely more worth a first rounder than Anderson
After suffering through last year, this year's team gives me big "Island of Misfit Toys" vibes. So many of the players contributing big so far this year are dudes the Bruins got recently and/or for next to nothing. Mittelstadt was basically a throw-in on the Coyle-Zellers trade and B's acquired Arvidsson for a 2027 5th, both of whom have been lights out on the second line. Khusnutdinov came back in the Brazeau trade and Minten in the Carlo trade, definitely didn't have either of them scoring 10+ in the NHL this season. Zadorov was a newcomer last year, and after his dissappointing first season, has been probably the team's most consistent defemseman all year. The Jeannot deal was widely panned but he's been a really good depth piece on what has to be one of the three or four best fourth lines in the league (and the cap's going up, so his deal will only get better). Aspirot is basically found money.
This team has been a really fun watch this season. I almost never feel like they're out of it. They're tough and mean and relentless and they stick up for each other. And they're doing it all under a likeable first-year head coach who it seems like they'd all run through a wall for. I have absolutely no delusions of them winning the cup this year, but I'm optimistic about the future of this team for the first time since Bergeron's retirement.
A bit premature to call them contenders no?
When your young guys take a huge step forward when you thought their depth was gonna be a issue and your superstar in Pasta is making everyone better your on the right path.
Bruins fan here, they are legitimately not, but I like the positive energy.
let me disagree, Penguins are also defying all expectations but no one would say they are contenders. Besides Pastrnak Boston has no elite weapons. Geekie, I think, is a modern days Jonathan Cheechoo.v If this team crawls into playoffs, they will bounce in 1st round.
A Petterson trade is straigh up not a good idea. The center pipeline is already clogged. We got who we're hoping is our future 1C comming up, Lindholm locked up, Minten, and they're likely keeping Zacha.
I feel like Canucks ask for petey is definitely starting with Minten. I dont think that Lohrei and a first is what the Canucks are looking for personally. They're gonna want a young difference maker. Not a projectable middle-six guy.
I say buy, I want a team with pasta in his prime. Who would you get rid of on the bruins to make the 11.6M cap space for pettersson?
