Cheers fella!! Is there any reason why the Stripes did not do a "video review" for this? One quick glance at a replay would reveal no foul and the game continues in, what, 20secs….
Canadiens games seem to never be boring. All of these late winners, OT winners, crazy calls, etc.
Sources are telling me Marcus is stable
Please God
‘Nothing else you can ask for’ …?
I ask for good officiating
It's becoming the NBA. Jews and Blacks ruin everything.
Shoulda seen the call on Wedgewood yesterday
the ref should be fired.
As a Habs fan, seeing that call on Hutson was baffling to say the least. But go watch some “highlights” of MLB umpires, they make NHL refs look amazing.
Side note – is Eck sleeping on Demidov? Two assists tonight, 7pts in his last 5 games, 5g 14a 19pts in his last 20 games… not mentioned once in tonight’s video, and I could be wrong, but I don’t think he has mentioned him at all since the start of the season… Ivan has been playing like he could win the Calder. It’s gonna be a tight race for that trophy.
I think the whole game the refs did a poor job, as a habs fan, they missed a good amount of calls on us and on them, the Danault penalty was a weak one and the Hutson one was the worst call I've ever seen.
We all know Danault isn’t there for goal scoring. The question is whether he recognizes that and is comfortable embracing a primarily defensive role.
Meanwhile Tom Wilson was allowed to launch off the ice and take a headshot on Hutson earlier in the season.
Did he go to the LeBron James school of defense?

worst call in year since chara got off scott free after retaliating on pacioretty for a push in the back after patch had scored the winning goal in the previous habs bruins match up
The only thing that Foligno tripped over was the blue line. It wasn't the only bad call either. The Gallagher penalty in the third was completely bogus as well. The Habs were short-handed all night because Minnesota played with 8 players all night long…..and we still won!
Call aside, I think we're seeing the beginning of a beautiful rivalry between the Montreal Canadiens and the Detroit Red Wings that should (hopefully) last for quite awhile
Hutson had to go into the penalty box where he was digested slowly over a thousand years.
See… if the ref even apologizes for it in the moment, why does he not… idk… say "get out of the box, there's no penalty."? Literally no reason whatsoever 😂 Can this league just figure it's own rules out already? 🤣
"outside of the oilers" yeah about that…
I couldn't tell if the Minnesota player was doing a lebron james impression and flopping like a carp or if he just tripped over himself
Its fair to say that even as a Bruins fan I find this appalling.
Montreal has been catching a lot of these
I mean.
That obviously was one of the most vicious hits of the season no? Poor Marcus Foligno can be glad that this assault didn't end his career.
It is as a learing experience
The real issue is why is the back ref calling the penalty and not the ref that is much closer to the play? That happens way too much in all sports that the one calling the penalty/foul is usually the official that had the least advantage's view of the play.
Some calls are obviously being made where the referee does not actually see the infraction only imagines it based on seeing a player fall. This is why I have no problem with the "make up" call. Expansion of the league would result in more dubious calls from inexperienced referees.
