He’ll be concussed again by this time next week, dude needs to hang them up.

  2. hankercizer200

Filip please for the sake of your brain matter take the rest of the year off. We’re tanking anyway this isn’t worth it.

happy for him, i know everybody wants him to hang up the skates and whatnot but he, like all other NHL players, worked their ass off since they were young to get the play in the NHL.

management and medical staff could convince him to not play all they want, but at the end of the day it’s up to him once he’s medically cleared.

I really hope for his sake things will be different on the ice for him now. I don’t know if he saw any specialists or anything like that but I’m hoping the inevitable won’t happen again.

  5. BUMBUBOY

He gonna get taken out after they turn the lights on after the anthem

Ultimately if he understands the risks and is medically cleared I’m happy for him. Its his choice

If this is what he wants, I’m happy for him. I hope it goes well and he doesn’t get concussed. I’m praying my man trained on keeping his head up in the neutral zone.

I don’t like putting out the negative energy of “He will get LTIRetired.” I’d rather be wrong for being a glass half full person than wrong for being a pessimist.

It’s a good thing that they’ve built up the cushion they did, because a team with Petey – Rossi – Chytil – Blueger as their centre depth suddenly looks a lot more capable than one running Kampf as their 2C

This team still needs to play at a 95 point pace for the rest of the year to close the current ground on the Blues and Jets though, so they’re probably still safe.

    Please, save yourself!

  10. ImAlwaysSorrys

Hopefully they try him on the wing when Rossi is back

The next concussion will be really tough to watch.

  12. WhaleBird1776

Happy for him. These guys whole lives revolve around hockey. He knows the risks. He’d probably rather die on the ice than hang up the skates. Let’s hope the tank stays in tact, a playoff push isn’t even on the table anymore so cmon focus on the draft lol

  13. How many games until his head falls off during a game?

  14. ForceEconomy9988

This is like watching your alcoholic cousin crack a beer, you hate to see it but it’s their life

  15. Darkwingduck48

    Well I’m happy for him

I’m also greatly concerned for him

  16. Icy-Pomegranate-5644

Chytil is actually good but I don’t want him to ruin his life

  17. Sincerely hope I’m wrong & it’s his choice to make, but just like a boxer who has had enough, I don’t want to watch Chytil get his brain damaged even worse.

24/01/2026: GM Partrick Allvin today that F Filip Chytil has been put on LTIR with an undisclosed upper-body injury.

  19. EverySecondCountss

Chytil and Blueger back might just be really bad for our tank lol.

Hopefully Chytil is on the wing… I don’t think it would be good to send him back down the middle with how his awareness is.

    15OA here we come!

  20. ComfortableDog1024

Fuck Tom Wilson. Big Filip is back baby 🔵🟢 also great win yesterday. What a game. Fuck the tank I wanna win some more games sue me

  21. JauntyGiraffe

Can we put him in goalie gear? Full face mask? Full body mask?

  22. Overclocked11

At the end of the day its his decision. of course I hope it goes well, but I gotta say, I am worried for him, and if it were me, I’m not sure that I would be coming back and putting the rest of my life and my health at risk. Its just not worth it.

  23. Jaded-Ad-289

Aslong as he doesn’t get hurt and we lose the game, I’m gonna be a happy camper.

  24. TimTebowMLB

Petey, Chytil, Rossi, Blueger down the middle isn’t good for the tank

  25. Striking_Economy5049

Get him going, hopefully he builds up some confidence and for the rebuilds sake, maybe the Canucks can get an asset for him whether this year or next.

  26. ssevenoaks

He’d be a great asset to have on the team in three years if he can somehow find a way to stay healthy through the rebuild
