I’m confused about this trade, even as a Pens fan.
First game for Stu was a bit wobbly and there are occasional flashes of Jarryisms there, but Skinner seems to have more upside than Jarry and is paid 1/3rd as much?
I am confusion.

Skinner isn’t an elite goalie, but why trade him for another average goalie? Grant Fuhr numbers don’t cut it in the NHL anymore.

Let’s sort this out for the morons. Skinner asked for a trade. The hockey world at large has been ragging on the Oilers for employing Stu for years now. Skinner will make 6 million plus on his next contract. Stan Bowman is a terrible GM. Does that all make sense to you? If you have to ask for a « why »… these are the reasons.

`Nurse… Nurse was the issue, I mean more his contract, how it is Nurse AND Bouchard’s contracts. they eat too much of the money for any viable defensive effort to be made to fix things. There are other contracts that are problems, but those two are glaring
