The first goal was closer to being offside and you never know what the idiots in Toronto will call, it was a 50/50 chance, but to blow the timeout and not challenge is dumb. Even if it was a goal down one on the PK would’ve put them in more of a defence mode than a offensive mode trying to answer the goal. Coaching has been less then stellar.
Ekholm has become lazy ever since he wasnt invited to the olympics.
This entire season defense… And I mean defensive play which includes the forwards… has been atrocious except for maybe 5 to 6 games.

Sometimes, he's a great coach, but other times it seems that he's missing both the little details and the big picture. Leon's coming in straight from Germany and has jetlag with a +8hrs time difference. For him, it will seem like a 3AM puck drop. So maybe, use his ice time strategically! This season is going to be a long one (especially for Olympians Leon and Connor), yet so far this season, he's already overplayed them both. Didn't he coach games 5 and 6 of the finals last season? The stars ran out of gas!

Ekholm looked horrible and couldn't catch a cold, Bouchard can't tell when he's gonna get stripped from behind, draisaitl might as well stayed on the plane and Connor….. For being the fastest skater on the planet… He couldn't catch Malkin???? Wtf 😳. Unfortunately they'll need to beat an eastern conference team to get a cup and that is not looking remotely possible

I’m so annoyed. Why on earth did they decide to start Jarry against his former team again? The emotional stress alone isn’t worth it. Pickard and Ingram were both available. I didn’t even care that we lost — I just genuinely don’t understand that decision.

Knobber is 2-0 getting to the cup final. He is like the winningist coach through his first 2 and a half years of coaching, I think only Scotty Bowman has a better record. It is not the coach. Players need to wake up. Need a 3 C and a big D man.
