I’ve been checking out their highlights; see anything else interesting? Abram had a nice dangle a few games back and Reschny is quite often involved.

Reschny really stood out. He attacked space aggressively on offense, and was always moving into danger areas. He didn’t shy away from contact and was a real problem in and around the goal area. He didn’t register a point, but he single handedly caused goals to happen with his movement and drawing defenders.

Consistent shifts were a bit of an issue, but when he decides to cause problems he was more than a handful.

North Dakota trusted him to run the pp1 unit, and he spent some time on the pk. Impressed in the world juniors and now here. Cole looks like he could play significant nhl minutes next year, if he and Connie decide it.

Abram weibe was a total surprise. He isn’t very big(edit: Compared to the rest of the blue line, he seemed closer to 6ft), and he wasn’t a dynamic skater, but he wore the A and took all the big minutes. He was on the point of their PP1, and spent ample time on pk. The coach trusted him in both zones and it really showed. Obvs his skating will limit him. (very surprised hes listed as 6’3 he didn’t look it)

Keaton verheoff scored a very good hockey IQ goal, by sliding down the back door and getting into space. He really looks like a project though. Coach didn’t trust him on the PP and PK. He didn’t get significant minutes there(apparently he collected PP mins later, but wasn’t PP1). Felt like more of the world junior performance. You don’t notice him at the moment, despite his size. He feels like two years away.

Awesome dude! Ya I absolutely love reschny’s play. When I checked the box score last night, I was like, « damn, no points and 4 penalty minutes? Tough game ». But it was the same in Victoria, even when he didn’t score points, he was always making a difference.

And although Victoria hasn’t had many great players come through our organization, even before he was drafted for the flames, he was the only junior player I’ve ever watched that I felt actually tilted the ice in our favour when he was on. I’m so excited to have him in our organization

Abram is listed at 6’3″ and over 200lbs so it’s very interesting to hear the size feedback.
