This was an interesting one, for a few reasons 🤔 watch the video to find out what I thought about it but…
I kind of think this was actually a good game for the Habs to have 🧠🏒. It puts things into perspective and might even give management some clearer ideas about what needs to be done going forward 👀📋.
Thanks for watching as always, everyone 🙏 I really appreciate you ❤

I think the habs should kick the tires on another high-end defenseman. We need some more stability back there. We need a big body who can block shots and play responsably. We have Laine, Struble, Dach, Beck. Roy, Anderson, etc. as trade pieces, I think Went Wughes could probably find something.
Imagine Hamilton or Faulk added to the defensive core.
Guhle – Hutson
Dobson – Matheson
Hamilton/Faulk – Carrier
+Xhekaj
It would be a wall and I think exactly what this team is missing (experience and stability), we cant get by on offense alone.
I want to see a stat how many times Monty has given up the first goal in the first 2 shots of the game compared to the rest of the league cuz this is just unreal
Trade P.L to Vancouver for Kane. Add some toughness
I also feel like I’m getting ragebaited by watching Gallagher play in the final 5 mins of the game every night we are down by a goal. That line does ZERO ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. Play slaf LINE, play Suzuki line. BUT NOT GALLY LINE
The penalties the last 2 games is something elae
Guess we still have that goalie issue after all
We needed Arby last night, too much chippy crap from Buffalo. We can do the 2 goals down thing but never 3 down.
You will NEVER see a Canadian team win the cup as long as Ratman is the Commissioner of the NHL. Laine is washed up…who wants him??
A few comments… 1.) If they are showcasing Struble as a means of trading him, that's a huge mistake. He either costs them opponents' chances, or they play short-handed when he's limited to 10 minutes. Xhekaj and the best d-man Laval has to offer is a much better option than trying to get chicken salad out of chicken $hiit. Struble is a mistake; let him go. 2.) Montembeault is in the same boat. He cannot redeem himself with a few great saves when he allows 2 softies to put the team in a hole. Take what you can get for him now. 3.) Is Texier hurt? If you're going to try to get Dach back up to speed, it should not be on the 1st line. MSL has killed what has been a really productive line lately. Put Dach in for Gallagher and see what he produces. 4.) I see no reason for Laine to ever wear bleu, blanc et rouge again. Trade him for a bag of pucks and a good skate sharpener. 5.) I've always respected Mart SL for his innovation, but he needs to know when he's found an answer. He keeps tinkering with the lines, with D pairings, with goalies. Did he learn nothing from the Jake Allen years? Develop Dobeš and Fowler, and get this train rolling.
Happy birthday Timmy!!!
Bolduc did slash dahlin in the back of the legs after they were broken up, but I feel like that shouldve offset the punch. That being said theres always going to be bad calls, the best teams get it done in spite of that. Montreal couldve been on the power play all night and still wouldve lost.
'Waaaaaaah!'
'A full punch'…really? Sounds like he reached back with windup, but actually just pushed his elbow up (while the Hab was clutching his jersey). That kind of stuff happens all game, every game The broadcast was pure homerism all night.
After every whistle in the crease the Habs were getting into shit, throwing late hits, etc. If I remember correctly, the Habs player, after the whistle, intentionally skated across the crease to bump UPL.
The Sabres are the better team.
I can't see him, but I picture the announcer talking about a 'full punch' looking just like François-Philippe Champagne.
The roughing penalty was bad. The slashing penalty was good. It should have been 2 each. Probably should have been 2 for Buf and none for Bolduc. He likely retaliated late when he felt screwed for getting a roughing penalty when all he did was take the punch in the face.
Monty should have stopped the second Buffalo goal !!!
It seems like every other team in our division gets to have at least a 6 game heater, I think we should go on one now please.
penalty for standing in front of someones fist …. habs get such horrible calls its wild. the league must not like Montreal
I was at the game had a great view bolduc did slash on dahlin’s calf on the way to the box
Every single penalty has to be reviewed.
Let's be real; when it's florida or vegas they do review their penalties and cancel some, minor or not, doesnt matter
I’m 100% with on Patrick !! He’s overpaid and highly overrated
not a bolduc fan yet,
big dach hater. time to move on.
no excuses for this L., OWNED dahlin all night long. he was so useless the 2nd half of the game. dont need to slash em
Montreal's got some work to do, division game, we played them last week, cant let history repeat itself.
Monty….. no comment.
Dobson…. i plead the 5th
🤘
That roughing call on Bolduc drove me fucking bonkers.
Roughing for hitting your face on your opponents knuckles now
Gotta say though, that Hutson fucking up at the blue line is 99% Suzuki's fault, his pass was fucking ass and Hutson was just caught with his pants down with no real way to do anything but lose the puck here. That slashing was fucking unecessary though
No X factor.. #72 a healthy scratch against a team with size and tenacity in fighting for space and puck possession and you take out your biggest D man that leads in hits…. good job Napoleon !
Monty played a terrible game, no doubt. I hope they’re going to trade him. If it wasn’t for our goal scorers it would’ve been 4-0. Not a game to write home about.
Can we just play Arber already? At least we know what his role is. Struble is mid at everything.
