Like it or not Mathews and Nylander are the best , but they must lift there NTC and get out of TO. This team is in big trouble. With no cap space or picks Mathews and Nylander won’t deliver a Cup. They can barely stay healthy. Get some much needed picks,cash flow and for Pete sakes get rid of the entire management team

Matthews in Nylander are not winners they have great skill that they don’t have to work for, so Minimal effort to be good/great and that gets 10 sheets of money because they sell the illusion, that they will work hard to be above being great but they already have the money so they don’t have to work hard. I don’t think a team would take either of them at big contracts until they can prove that they are world class and have the ability to win a cup. They will both walk at the end of their contracts with nothing in return for them.

Truer words Steve. A game the players said "was just another game"… WTF? not for the fans it's not. This should have been a statement game, played with playoff intensity ! Show the fans that it means something to play for the Toronto Maple Leafs and beat the team that your walkout for nothing plays for. A slap in the face as well that the Captain of the team cannot speak to the media before or after the game. PATHETIC! I have to hand it to you & everyone in Leafs' Nation!!! I have always said that Toronto fans are the BEST! All their fans are respectful, knowledgeable & (most importantly) LEARNED in the ways of hockey!!! What I saw from the Leafs last night was just inexcusable!!!
I think the NHLPA MUST look into doing away with complete no trade clauses!!! I cheer for the Leafs after theDevils' season ends because I depend on the Leafs going into the playoffs. But this season? I think we're all, Devils & Leafs fans, going golfing in April! It pains me to say that!!!😢

Time for a complete redo of this team. I have a hard time cheering for this team this year. Marner there or not this team hasn't changed. Marner was also the same way. They don't play like they care. I been loyal my whole life but maybe if the fans all walk away and their games become empty it might wake this team up.
