Think about the position Stevie has put this team in as of right now, There is a ton of cap space, he signed Sieder and Raymond to great contracts, He got John Gibson. Detroit is in a great position heading into the trade deadline and Olympic break. Damn fine job Yzerman.

If Detroit is going to be a real playoff competitor, Hamonic needs to be replaced. When he's not a healthy scratch, he is an absolute liability with the puck and in committing regular penalties, even with his limited ice time

I love the Wings but that 3rd goal was iffy man, Kasper had both arms and stick above the crossbar and sure looks like he made contact with the puck just as it fell into the net. /shrug.
Finnie’s been struggling a bit lately with the full schedule but the last couple games is a stark reminder of why he rose so quick. That sense, not only on the compher goal, but also on that intercept of the pass behind the net to set up the JVR chance…Good stuff!
i knew this is the gibby we would get. He was one of the best goalies id ever seen when he just came into the league. Had he not rotted away on the ducks. He would have been a top 5 goalie every year on a playoff team. Its awesome hes back to playing like he used to, showing all these casuals they know nothing about the sport.
