Bottom line, we must get rid of Morgan Rielly. The Leafs player with the longest tenure who goes back to that disaster in Boston, where Leafs led 4-1 in Game 7 and lost 5-4 in overtime. I am aware that he has a no-trade clause, but try your best to get rid of him. It is one method of changing your "DNA" or image.

  2. Are we rebuilding or retooling?
If we're rebuilding, sell everyone except for Knies, Robertson, Cowan, Woll and Hildeby.

  3. Pelley:everything is on the table to make this team champions. 4 months later nothing has been done except run this team to the ground.

  4. Stolarz was put into the game to be showcased so that Tre would have a trade chip to buy another retread.

  5. Oh No!! We suck again!!

While I agree with what you’re saying but they can’t really sell. They don’t own their pick and I don’t think they’re so bad they get a top 5 pick. So all they can do is try not to be so bad they give Boston a top 10 pick.

  6. This week was the shining light on where the Leafs are. They've been exposed. Last year was a mirage, the goalies stole a lot of games. Reminded me of Shesterkin bailing out the Rangers almost every game, until he got burned out, then their record went downhill very quickly. Back to the drawing board this summer…

  7. I have been bleeding blue for over 60 years. And I don’t watch the leafs play anymore. It’s too embarrassing 😢

  8. Listening to you idiots 2 weeks back saying this team was good😂😂 when are you gonna learn this core and team will never win shit it's been nine years!!!!!

  9. I complete overhaul is essential. Our Gay Captain Matthew has only two years remaining on his contract and is one injury away from retirement; we cannot afford to let another Mitch Marner disaster situation unfold again. I worry that management will act too late. When they finally decide to trade Matthews, he may very well sustain a serious injury. It is prudent to trade him now to Los Angeles for at least two first-round picks, without protection. Additionally, trading Player 88 to Chicago for another two first-round picks is crucial. These two gentlemen do not consider Toronto their home; once the team announces a full rebuild, I assure you they will be willing to waive their no-trade clauses, especially for major U.S. cities & watching Mitch having fun in Vegas

Management needs to prfioritize trading Players 34 and 88 before addressing secondary assets. I understand the reluctance to embrace a full rebuild, as do I; however, hoping the Leafs can emulate Boston’s success this season is unrealistic, given that Boston has a championship-caliber core.

I would retain Laughton and OEL, as they are my captain and assistant captain, respectively. It is imperative to trade Players 34 and 88 immediately, along with Carlo, Roy, Bobby M., and MacCabe. We should also inquire with JT about his preferred contenders for a trade. If Morgan is unwilling to accept a deal, a buyout may be necessary. As for the remaining secondary players, everyone knows how to handle those situations but before doing the above PLEASE FIRE TREE TODAY don’t allow him to be part of the team and stop him building a TORONTO FLAMES.

  10. Getting tougher everyday for Ron McLean and the lame duck panel to sell their pathetic love for the Laffs! Almost as bad as the CBC pump the Liberals tires!

  11. They HAVE been riddled with injuries since the start of the season. But the real takeaway from that is the season isn't salvageable and they should sell/retool. They've put themselves too far behind other teams. WC spots are far too competitive and they aren't gaining on other teams with this current roster, especially with Tanev out for the season. Idk what leaf fan Rob was quoting but there's no way they magically go 0.800 when Willy returns to the lineup. The entire rest of the east (minus the rags) is just as close or closer to WC2 than the leafs.

  12. The only thing that can save the franchise is… an expansion franchise in Toronto area. They need competition! Complacency is killing the Leafs!

  13. Why sell? Just swap the leaf's team with the Marlies, Send the entire leaf team down to the AHL and bring the Marlies up, to finish the Season, They can't do any worst!!!! Wouldn't that be funny after 60yrs draught, the News paper headline is " TORONTO MARLIE"S WIN THE CUP". LOL
