I don't mean to be disrespectful but I genuinely question what you are thinking when you say you wouldn't trade Wallstedt, he is probably our most valuable expendable player and we already have long term deal committed to Gus Bus, We can't afford to pay 2 goalies 6 million plus when we have Kaprizov and want to resign Hughes. Not to mention we clearly can't beat Dallas or Colorado in a 7 game series with the team we have now and without Wallstedt in the trade there is not a chance we get someone who could push us over the line unless we move a more important piece or drain the farm. It should be common sense with this year and next year left on his contract we flip him while his value is at it's highest.
Keep in mind, Jack Hughes missed 18 games this year due to a freak restaurant accident, so his stats are down.

If they could get Jack Hughes and ensure that Quinn will stay long-term and they shore up their 1C. That's a no-brainer. Got to do it
If Billy g trades wallstedt it'll be his job. If any goalie to be traded it should be gus. Trade gus and stramel. Throw Hartman in too for a center
There's no chance the Devils move J. Hughes. If history is any indicator the Wild world move Wallstedt for some old ass 35yo winger who was on a Stanley cup team 10 years ago and we need his "winning pedigree" There is no trade that puts this team above either Dallas or Colorado so why trade the entire future? If you get a Cellebrini…. do it, otherwise accept we can't move ahead of those teams this year and look to next year.

Jack Hughes has an outrageous contract. He's not worth it. That would be insane to even consider. There are so many more options out there
