I love Perfetti! But this season he disappeared for like 30 games. If it was due to injury that raises other questions, but otherwise that’s definitely too long of sustained struggling.
I’d rather not trade him, just in case it’s recovery related.

As much as I’d hate to trade Mr 1.6, you gotta give something to get something

Jets aren’t exactly stocked as far as young forwards go, I can’t see a trade that makes them better by moving him. They should be focused on the eternal search for a 2C to play with him. Maybe the first we get for Stanley plus one of our D prospects can net us one in the off season.

I envision a McGoarty/Yager type trade. Similar picks.
Trade him for Shane Wright? Give both guys a chance somewhere else?

The Jets won’t trade Perfetti as a reclamation project. He had a high ankle sprain earlier this year and if he’s traded the other team needs to realize that they’re acquiring him at the price he was worth after the St. Louis series, not whatever perceived value he has after the first three months of this season.
That said, the Jets should be open to trading him in a package for a better player but that’s the only situation I’m willing to move him. We’re not taking back futures for him and we’re not taking back a late 1st, a bottom sixer and a mid tier prospect.

Perfetti 1st and lambert for Patterson and hronek do we need to add more ?

im not a big perfetti fan and dont see the upside/potential that many do, however the Jets trading him is really opposite of what they typically do… unless he’s requesting a trade

Perfetti shouldn’t be moved for anything but a 1st. Yeah, I know he isn’t worth that atm, but he will be worth a ton more once get gets out of his slump and is signed to a real contract next year.
It’s tough to get people to come to Winnipeg in free agency, doubly so if the team isn’t coming off a President’s trophy, triply so if the team is a bottom 5 team the season before.
Sign the kid, don’t give him a full no-move, figure it out later. That 2nd-4th round pick isn’t gonna ever produce like Cole has shown he can.

This doesn’t make sense to me. He’s not putting up numbers where a contender would give up assets. Also, it’s not like Jets are close to anything and can get something back to help.
