    They NEED to keep Wallstedt as a back-up during the playoff run. If Gus went down, and we traded Wallstedt away, we’re cooked even if we do get a 1C.

    We’d be foolish to trade him Gus NMC is only for two years after this we can afford both in that time frame.

    God I wish Billy didn’t give that NMC just so people don’t take it as an absolute Wallstedt has to be traded

    Minnesota has been starving for a championship. If we don’t consider giving up a young stud goalie when we already have a stud goalie in his prime to get a piece to win now, we would be crazy. We would need to get something SIGNIFICANT in return of course. Especially since he can also help us win now. But if a first line center becomes available because we are willing to deal Wallstedt, we have to at least consider it.
