    Utterly ***embarrassing*** the refs had the gall to make two embellishment calls late after giving Utah a powerplay. The Tkachuk one in particular was an utter joke.

    Tough loss. Depth goal-scoring came through. We’re in the inverse form of what we had at the start of the year where now we’re great on the road and struggling at home as of late.

    We shouldn’t have lost that. Wild card window is closing. Hope Lundell and Ekblad are ok and someone can fix the powerplay. It’s getting dire.

    Two things are true, refs screwed the pooch late and Bob was not good enough. You guys will hate it but they need to pull a Lyon situation with tarasov and Bob for a little bit. Let him reset his focus a bit

    Bad refs and bad/frustrating loss for us. At least we have Jets and then three Atlantic games coming up. Still room for movement before Olympics.

    Calling this the end of the season is a wild take. We got plenty of time for things to change. However, we do need to atleast leave a game like this with 1 point cause damn. Kinda brutal to be tied most of the 3rd just to end up losing in regulation.

    I love Bob, but his save percentage is below league average. There’s just too many pucks slipping through.

    Worst loss of the season. Felt like we outplayed them only to come up empty. First embellishment call was garbage, then the refs top that with an even worse embellishment call. Lundell hurt. Wasted Vilmanis’ first career goal. Bob never stops a single breakaway these days. Bruins and Habs win in overtime.

    Brutal. Just brutal.

    I don’t know why they play more conservative with Tarasov and not with Bob. Hopefully Ekblad and Lundell are okay.

    I was worried we couldn’t overcome playing our terrible backup from last year and me being home to watch (haven’t won when I’ve been able to watch since 12-23) but I didn’t expect the RefPuck in the third. That was as egregiously bad a job by the refs as I’ve seen in a long time. I don’t think I’ve ever seen two diving calls in one game let alone period.

    Also the give a penny take a penny shit with injuries is getting to be just absurd

    I’m beyond furious with this game. Tarasov needs to be the starter straight up, as I also don’t want the team to commit asset for a goalie at the deadline when Barkov’s comeback is not guaranteed.

    Loss might have been enough to do us in. Both Boston and Montreal won tonight as did Buffalo. We are now six points out of a playoff spot trying to keep teams who had been consistently good all year. Even if we go on a massive win streak, I don’t think it will be enough to get us into a playoff spot with the way the other teams are playing.

    That game was winnable. A team coming in on the second half of a back to back and we did very little to take advantage. At no point in that game did we look like we were outskating them to every puck or beating them in every board battle. That’s a game we needed to pick up two points and failed to do so.

    And before we blame the refs, the first two goals by Utah were off of two major mishaps on our part. A turnover at the blueline on the zone entry that led to a breakaway, and a turnover at the blue line during a line change. You do that and you will be fishing the puck out of the back of your net every time. We can afford mistakes like that.
