@Canucks de Vancouver

Friedman dit qu’Evander Kane pourrait obtenir un choix de mi-tour, peut-être un troisième si le salaire est conservé. On lui a dit qu’il était très probable qu’il soit traité. @NHLTradeAlert [Oilers Now/X]

Ken Holland might do it for a 2nd

Pretty insane asset management if we traded a 4th to get him and then shipped him off for a 3rd

    (Ignore how the season’s gone)

  4. CrayonOlympics

It was a stupid trade to begin with but if they can upgrade the 4th they paid to a 3rd it’s not the worst outcome at all

  5. globehopper2000

I mean our fourth is probably gonna be like 10 spots away from a contenders third.

Let’s make it happen yesterday please

  7. Camdaman0530

Hell I’d retain half his salary just to break even

  8. robrenfrew

That’s like saying, it’s pretty likely that it will rain in Vancouver.

  9. Canuckleheadache

We will regret trading him! Next years storyline – Canucks looking to add size at deadline to help bolster roster.

  10. We should sell him for whatever the highest offer is, even if we have to retain. We have two open retention slots and he’s expiring.

The trade more or less ended up being Dakota Joshua for Evander Kane, which is a net positive for the Canucks (in hindsight).

Anything they get back for Kane at this point is just icing on the cake.

Every fan I know was smarter than management on this one. Rutherford and Alvin were probably the only two guys in Vancouver who wanted to bring Kane in.

  13. WolfzandRavenz

Send him to Nashville to hang with Kash

  14. Dlloyd44

Kane at just over 2.5M is pretty good for a contender. I really hope we can get someone to bite

Please. Let’s get a refund on this mistake

Why would we not retain the maximum amount of salary we can? Is it the owner being cheap and not wanting to pay 50% of a players salary if he isn’t playing for the team or is there another reason for it.

  17. Delly2times

Shitty attitude and a dressing room cancer, he should hang ‘Em up already, and that’s coming from an oilers fan. He’s not getting traded, he’s being run out of the city.

  18. Upstairs_Bad897

Fetch a fuckin burger and fries and call it a deal I’m happy

  19. flamingdragonwizard

What if we retain 50% and take back an expiring bad contract in the 3-5m range to give that team more cap space. A 2nd?

  20. crap4you

A Canucks 4th that they gave up would be a high 4th and a contending team’s 3rd would be a low 3rd so a difference of a few spots. At that point in the draft, it’s all a crap shoot.

  21. DaddyHeatley

Was definitely hoping for a mid to late 2nd for 50% retained

  22. Christinedaaaee

We still need a third round pick since we traded ares this year. hopefully Kane will land us that

  23. __rees__

And the sky is blue of course they trading him

  24. SpeedoAgeru

Dang. I would’ve even gladly accepted absolutely nothing in return.
