Cannot stress how bad an idea this is unless we’re giving them Maclean and getting picks on top of it
Friedmans tweet makes it seem official
Palat for Tsyplakov, picks involved, per Friedman
No. For fuck sake no!
Tsyplakov noooooooooo we aren’t supposed to trade away Russians!!!!
Damn I couldn’t imagine y’all if this was Lou😂
Just looked at his stats since he got hurt. Starting in 2023… fucking YIKES.
Edit: Also, he’s owed 6M in cap space this year AND next?! I hate it even more now.
Maybe. But I think we have to understand that Darche is part of the decision making process that led to guys like stamkos and Palat leaving to get more elsewhere. So it’s quite likely he doesn’t view them as being worth their salary, and they clearly haven’t played up to it since signing those contracts.
If the Devils give up an asset or take on a contract (Tsypy? Pierre?), it might make some sense.
Man, I just sobered up!
wow i can’t think of a worse person on the devils we could’ve traded for
i also don’t think tsyplakov was as bad as he was made out to seem by roy, he just gave him no chances lol
I only hate this trade because Palat is signed for next year at 6M or whatever it is.
What are the upsides? Playoff and Stanley Cup Experience? Lockerroom leadership? Doesn’t seem like he’s putting up a lot of points these days…
