Truly enjoy the show Steve. Appreciate your insights. Have to admit – it is nice not having to listen to soooo many Ontario sports media calling Leafs a ‘great’ team. They haven’t met that level but each year. “They are a great team!’. They have been a good team. It was prudent to add to reach the milestone and of course , as a result they have not much left. Rebuild. Leafs won’t be better next season but many of their competitors will be (Habs). next year. Another year like this and there is no way Austin will want to stay around. No way. Cannot lose him for zero return. Let’s get real here…

I love this guy! I have to disagree, being a Habs fan, I think the Leafs should trade away some prospects and picks to bolster the roster for a big run that would get them the 15th overall first round pick! I don't like the Bruins either!!

wonder how much extra revenue teams get if they make it to the playoffs? not only the extra games the and extra ticket sales- but all the extra media attention a team gets- much adivertising revenue- each team would be different- but, watching the leafs- and all the hype- here in TO (born and raised in Montreal live in TO now) but, the Leafs get a lot of media exposure- sure they are out in the first round – but even 1 round will be at least 2 extra home games- and maybe 4! the leafs though make a lot of money even if they don't make the post season- so maybe that takes the incentive out of MLSE to really put together a competitive team? people should just boycott the Leafs game till MLSE start to deliver- money talks, BS walks

Not just because I hate the Toronto Maple Leafs (and the Jays, but that's another story,) but because of Toronto media's (and Steve's) obsession with shooting stray shots at my Jackets, shitting on us constantly like we're beneath them.
The Jackets are tied in the standings, with a game in hand, with the Leafs.

Here's my take from an old guy (71) married 3 times. You want something done right, get a woman to do it. MLSE, Pelly Inc., should fire Treliving and Berube and replace the GM with Hayley Wickenheiser, YES, a woman. She is already an assistant GM. Then she can sell off whoever she wants. Another rebuild is necessary.
