Either go all in and get 3 big names and try to win a playoff series. Or go all out and sell anybody

I would guess the team that dropped from 7th to 24th in a month is probably sellers not buyers.
Especially not for another R shot Winger who happens to be 34 years old.

Yeah, I don’t know what Friedman was smoking when he said that.

I could see us overpaying for Trocheck long before we overpay for Panarin

It doesnt. Doesnt Match Brieres M.O. Plus Flyers seem to really like the guys they got. Only way this could make sense is if a deal is already in place for a C.

Yeah that was just a rage bait post at its finest. Makes zero sense for Philly AND was clearly just speculation to begin with if you actually pay attention to how he worded everything. Naturally half the sub went into rabble rabble mode due to a speculation lol

Problem with the Flyers being sellers is they have nothing worth selling

Who would wanna come to Philly at this point

Can I say something without everyone getting mad?
I’ll preface it by saying the Taco man ~~could~~would likely ruin everything, it would be a disaster to send this year’s 1st, and there’d have to be some other big changes
But I could see a world where it would work with some *very big ifs*.
Let’s say a hypothetical… ’27 1st, York, Bump/whoever. Don’t clown me if I’m too off base I’m going off 1st/young roster/prospect.
No this doesn’t solve the C issue. But you’re adding a superstar 100 point player and a guy that would probably still be a 70 point player even 4 years down the road. Instantaneous adrenaline shot to the offense and PP. Panarin/Martone/Michkov/TK? Sign me up. Nasty winger group. That’s not even mentioning Foerster and Tippett who are then fantastic depth (I’ll touch on this again).
But that leads to the huuuge contingencies – No, it really **doesn’t** make sense unless you’re making huge moves around it too. Starting with Couturier and that contract moving. I know how insane that ask is. They probably can’t do it without retention.
I think you also look at moving Sanheim and recouping some strong assets. He’s an olympian, he seems to be pretty highly respected around the league, and I think a team would love to add him as a complimentary 2/3/4 guy. Especially at his contract with the cap going up. The days of a big Risto return are probably gone unfortunately.
And as far as recouping assetts, Tippett and Foerster are then elephants in the room for sure. Or any of the wingers depending on how they handle it. But you certainly have guys in the winger group outside of Martone/Michkov that can get you returns or be packaged.

Just to note Elliotte said flyers at the very end of a very long list of teams. He probably said 12 other teams first.

I swear to god if we do this I’m done. That’ll be it. It would set us back another 5 years. Can’t do it.
