What the data says 🤓
Pretty heavy and clear use of AI to simply say they’ve been giving minutes to other guys because they don’t trust the second pair in it’s current form. Bad article all around
Breaking news: small, rookie, offensive defenseman not trusted in lockdown defensive minutes
I’ve been calling this out for a while. McLellan and staff have sheltered ASP for the last couple months. He effectively has a third pair role, which is fine considering the circumstances. Unlike what the article wants, I do not believe ASP will see more minutes after the break because other teams will continue to bully him. He needs an offseason to add bulk. Between that and having more experience under his belt he may then be ready for a larger role.
I mean, each of the last 3-4 years he’s only played between 40-50ish games total. This year he’s played 55 against the best competition in the world. He’s probably a bit tired and the coaching staff recognizes it. He’ll be fine.
Not remotely worried about ASP. This is the time of year I was expecting him, Finnie, and if they were up, MBN and Nate, all to start running out of gas. They’ll adjust.
I’d never heard the name Tony Wolak before this, but I can now confidently say he’s a hack writer
Can we for the love of god stop swearing solely on analytics? Especially when half of these « Analytic Savants » and « macrodata refiners » are just idiots with a blog?
