As a hab fan, we don't want kadri, but we would take thomas
If the Wings are going to spend a lot of capital for a player, I think it's more likely to be a defenseman. Their top pair might be the best in the league, but the rest of their blueliners are below average for their roles. And there aren't great answers in free agency this offseason.
Isn't the going rate for Kadri at 50% retention a cap dump, a B level prospect, and a 2nd?

I don't think the best version of Hage is as a center in the NHL, so I wouldn't be afraid of blocking him out of that position…I would be afraid of relying on him being the long term 2C, however
