I have been watching the pens for years, I haven’t seen geno this happy on the ice in a long time. He is so happy to play with another skilled Russian that plays in a very complimentary way to him. He got young kids around him that look at him like a near god. He is even drawing less stupid/retaliatory penalties. Not gonna lie didn’t seething coming from geno in his golden years, but I will definitely take it.

Small sample size, but the guy’s averaging 0.57 points per game as a Pen. With Columbus this year he had an avg 0.21 pts per game. He’s shown higher scoring potential, career season best was avg 0.55 pts per game. What a great pick up!

I’m so happy we have a winger just for G! I feel like pens management usually tries to find players that fit on Sid’s line and Geno ends up getting the scraps. It makes sense cause Sid’s a little pickier about who he plays with but it’s still a bummer not seeing Geno play with guys he really gels with.
