Disagree with York. The rest yes but you can’t just sell/get rid of all of them lol— that’s not how it works. Realistically, I’d like to see them find a buyer for Tippett or Brink.
Couts, TK, and Sanheim will likely stay for now unless one of them demands a trade. I don’t see that happening this year, but I wonder if another season of missing the playoffs will trigger either Sanheim or TK to ask to leave. I wouldn’t blame them.
Coots is staying, he’s going to be an overpriced 3/4C for them unless he retires. The only way he’s moved is if there’s serious retention, and then the Flyers aren’t saving any money. He is still a good player, just isn’t finishing.
Cates is going to get traded, hopefully packaged with a winger and a pick, to upgrade at C. Dvorak can be the other bottom 6 C with Coots, both good on draws. I think Cates, Tippett, and an unprotected 1st gets the Flyers into young 1/2C territory.
Hopefully Flyers draft a solid D prospect this summer and Andrae finds more consistency in his game. Keeping Andrae over York is wild IMO, unless your goal is to be worse for longer. York is only 13 months older and worlds better.
And hopefully Briere realizes Tocchet was a mistake and he’s gone after the year.
No thanks
