Man, I hope Skinner can fill the void he left. Ive read that hes the ultimate locker room guy.
There are a plethora of leaders on the Pens, but not a single one that kept the game in perspective and made it fun like Fleury did.
The team lost their identity when they lost 29. Thats not a shot at Sid or Geno or Tanger. Just an observation from a guy that realized a massive shift in the team when the league forced us to move the true center of what we now call the core.

Neutral input from a die-hard NHL fan. This guys performance against the sharks in the ’16 final was next level. His career hardware speaks for itself, but this particular season in 2016 should be the inspiration for future centers. I love to see reddit penguin fans appreciating how lucky they are.

31 other fan bases thought Pittsburg would be trading Crosby by now to a contender so Crosby wouldnt be stuck at 32nd while Pittsburgh rebuilds. Their within serious striking distance of the playoffs because of underrated roster transactions (goalie, sorry Jarry). Crosby held back far too much speculation on if he wanted a trade. Props to Sid, class act, and he’ll get at least one more kick at Lord Stanley because of it. Hats off to you, dude.

If he stays with Pittsburg his entire career it’s a 3 way tie. Yzerman, Sakic and Crosby. I’m a Red Wings fan and am still bitter from 09’ and hate Crosby but you really have to be a bitter butt hurt idiot not to see what he has done for hockey
