    >Gaining possession immediately off faceoff wins has indeed been rare. The Hawks’ 47.6% power-play faceoff percentage ranks 30th in the NHL. But they also rank 29th in overall faceoff percentage, so that basically is what it is.

That paragraph more or less sums up Ben’s whole article here.

Last game, Teuvo Teraveinen took the faceoff for the first PP unit, a career winger. I know Bedard isn’t taking face offs right now but Nazar was on the ice too.

Regardless, need possession immediately, need to put out one of our best faceoff guys. Greene has been good on the dot, Moore has been good in the dot, even Fliggy to take it and sneak off would be better.

What’s the harm in putting Dickinson out there to take the draw, then getting him off like we usually do for must-win faceoffs? This team has such a hard time getting clean zone entries on the PP (or in general) so it’s huge to start with possession and set it up. Somethings gotta change.

I also wouldn’t mind Wyatt kaiser on PP1 for a couple of games just to see, i think he’s someone who’s got the talent to add something interesting

So we need a full time Center who can win draws and make plays on the PP? Is toews available?

I watched them dump and chase on a power play yesterday just to waste 25 seconds trying to get possession back. I don’t get why they’re dump and chasing so much let alone on a power play when they’ve a man advantage
