If Murphy gets traded, he deserves to go to a contender
Of note is we have two salary retention slots left. Any of the top 3 (Murphy Dickinson, Mik) will likely need 50% retention to have a chance of returning a 2nd rounder. Unlike the recent past, there are some playoff contenders with sizable cap space willing to blow it (see the recent NYI trades) who may not need the Hawks to retain, so it is possible to move all 3, but the Hawks will need to be strategic and trade conversations on one player may hold up a deal on another.
I hope to god we keep Miky, unless the deal is ridiculous I want him leading the PK for the next two years
I think people are underselling how much Murphy could go for.
Top 4 RHD on a reasonable deal, literally everyone needs/wants one of those and there are not a lot of options in getting those.

Using our cap space may allow us to take on a bad contract and a prospect and draft capital to move a few pieces but help us lock in some stronger possible longer term fits / youth get more experience
